The stately looking former manor house, is set back from the road in acres of grounds surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Our Restaurant offers an unforgettable dinning experience alongside a traditional bar and large garden area. Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats using innovative and modern cooking techniques. During the summer holidays the outside bar and kitchen is in full swing from noon til late. The pub warmly welcomes families and children have their own menu and the safe, enclosed garden and play area is perfect for youngsters to let off steam. The 4 guest bedrooms offer stylish relaxing ensuite accommodation, perfect for a special getaway, overnight stay or weekend break (dog friendly).

    A very good meal for most of the party and everyone enjoyed the evening. The waitress was excellent but very stretched as we had to wait 45 plus minutes to have our order taken. Once ordered the food came out in good time.

    All our party agreed it was one of the best roast lunches we've ever had. The beef was particularly good. Friendly staff, good service & well priced for very good quality food with generous portions. A complementary glass of Peoseccco for the person whose birthday we were celebrating was a nice surprise. Thank you for making it special.

    We went to the kings head for the first time this evening and found an attractive restaurant with a pleasant ambience. We both chose something from the Specials board which were more expensive than the main menu choices but sounded more interesting. However, when our meals arrived the portions were so small I would describe them as starters. The food was tasty enough but way overpriced for the amount of food served. So disappointing.

    Fantastic find, Sunday roast was superb. Couldn’t fault it. Meat was delicious and tender, vegs cooked to perfection. The yorkies were excellent The restaurant was inviting, the staff friendly, professional and efficient and we had a lovely time there with our friends. Only down side, not quite enough parking, but we did go at their busiest time.
