   I was encouraged to pre-order to reduce wait times and guarantee food availability but unfortunately we were waiting for one starter which never arrived, someone should have called me but never did so we ate starters staggered in our party of 9. The mains took a long time to arrive by which point the children had eaten and were restless so we needed to ask for their dessert to come early. The quality of the mains were fair but not anywhere near as good as when we last visited. The children’s food was really good as was my oldest daughter’s lasagne but on the whole for the remainder, not great. The service was slow and the overall cost was high in comparison to the service and quality. The atmosphere was noisy so much as we couldn’t hear each other speak very well but there were Christmas parties so it was expected. I don’t think we will come again in the near future.

   We booked the Festive meal for a family get together. The service was very good from the minute we arrived to when we left, the staff are so friendly. Our food was delicious with large portions of Turkey and vegetables. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend a visit to The Lamb to anyone looking for great food, service and atmosphere.

   My partners chicken was cold, obviously pre cooked and reheated but not checked. We sent it back and our waitress was really apologetic and comped us the whole meal but I then ate alone as he didn’t want to order anything else given it was cold chicken. Kind of ruined our meal and no matter how lonely the staff were, I’m not sure we’d eat there again. It’s a shame because it’s our first time eating here too and it’s really local

   Great festive menu and good value in pleasant surroundings. Starter and main was brilliant, tasty and good portion. Desert let it down though really chewy and no flavour (Xmas pud). We had to ask for sauces etc and waitress was not particularly attentive. But all in all a lovely Xmas dinner. Second time booking will definitely book again.

   The vegetarian main meal, which was similar to a quiche, had foil stuck to the bottom of it! But generally it was ok. The cheesecake desert was disappointing. It wasn’t fresh, it was more like a 2-3 day old boxed cheesecake, quite hard and also tasteless.

   The food was absolutely delicious, featuring fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of flavours and textures. The staff were friendly and patient, especially with one of our guests who had several dietary requirements; nothing was too much trouble for them. The wine was of good quality as well; we enjoyed a lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that was reasonably priced, unlike what you often find in restaurants. Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend The Lamb for a quality meal that won’t break the bank.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at The Lamb. The decorations were tasteful, the waiting staff polite, attentive and happy. The food was piping hot and very good. We stayed and chatted after eating and were not hinted at to move or leave. We only recently discovered this lovely place and have been three times already!!
