   Absolutely fantastic meal, roasts are great quality and the best roast beef I have ever had. Service very attentive and an overall very good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

   We had a lovely evening, food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. We did have to ask again for the dessert menu having waited about 20mins but we were in no rush. The problem came when we asked for the bill…the first arrived with numerous entries of items we’d not had adding up £300 for a party of 4. The second again had another item added and once that was rectified the total was nearer £140!!! Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened at a Colchester Inn, the Recruiting Sergeant being the other on more than one occasion!!!!

   Food is absolutely gorgeous, dishes you don’t get anywhere else, this is my second visit and now my go to restaurant, the staff are amazing, very helpful, chatty and always a smile on their face, decor is very classy and cosy, would definitely recommend.

   The meals at the Colchester Inns are consistently excellent across all of their venues. The Lodge at Salhouse is a beautiful venue with a fantastic choice of food and plenty of parking.

    Unfortunately we were all quite cold so that we had to have our coats round our shoulders even though we were all well wrapped up! when we felt the rad by the front door on the way out it wasn't on. It's such a big area it was quite hard to get the attention of any of the servers.
