For the price I guess I expected an exceptional experience. What we found was a somewhat average steakhouse with terrible acoustics. The noise level was painful and unpleasant. My short rib was very fatty and my wife's skirt steak was tough and difficult to chew. Sides were average diner fare. Additionally, the food was overly salty. We shared a bread pudding for dessert that was very dry, hard and bland, not the custard texture I would expect with bread pudding.

We absolutely LOVE The Lost Fire. It’s on the pricey side which makes it a treat for my husband and I to go there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We love the grilled provolone appetizer and the filet is incredible. My husband is celiac and they are always accomodating. Highly recommend.

What a great meal. Service was THE BEST. Jennifer with the old lady hair (her words not mine) was one of the best servers EVER. The steak was amazing. Wine selections were so good. Highly recommend.

Another wonderful meal at Lost Fire! We are never disappointed with our food here. We were so full that we ordered dessert to go (that wasn’t any good but I won’t take anything away from that as I’m sure it’s prepared much better there). Filet and NY strip loin as well as brussel sprouts and meatballs for apps.

Strip loins and filet were perfectly cooked and my husband enjoyed his salmon. We also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach is to die for. We were so ecstatic that we got to sit at the chefs table. Thank you

My husband and I have wanted to visit this restaurant for a while. I had tried to make a reservation before but the restaurant is limited to being open 5 1/2 hours 5 nights a week. We were fortunate to get a reservation on a Saturday night. From the minute we walked in the door we were welcomed with warm smiles and kindness. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant. It is nicely lit with ambient lighting. The open kitchen was amazing. We were greeted by our waiter Roxwell with a big smile. He was excited to hear that it was our first time visiting. Offered us still or sparkling water, along with fresh warm focaccia as we looked over the menu. The bread was served with 2 types of chimichurri for dipping. Very tasty ! He took the time to explain the menu and the specials of the evening . The drink menu is wonderful. Many varieties of wine, beer and cocktails of your choosing. We opted to start with the empanadas. We got 1 with Argentinian beef, 1 with spicy cheese, and 1 with chicken curry. Delicious ! For our main course, I got the filet mignon topped with sprouts and a garlic mash, my husband chose the NY strip with fried fingerling potatoes. Both cooked to a perfect med rare. Roxwell was attentive and had some pleasant conversation with him. We ended our dinner with dessert consisting of Flan with fresh whipped cream, strawberry and a dollop of caramel. To say it extraordinary would be an understatement. Overall this place is a gem, and top notch for a date night or special occasion. You will def walk out full but be prepared to pay about 200 for drinks, apps, and dinner . Worth it just for the experience. Chef Germán is a star. Do your self a favor and try it . You will not regret it. Truly Amazing

Outstanding food, service & Ambiance. It's a bit pricey but worth it. Succulent Filet mignons cooked perfectly medium as requested, super-fresh salads & excellent mashed potatoes. Everything was served quickly and with a smile. Great service overall from the host, waiter and runners. We ordered the cauliflower bites as an app and they were incredible too. Our favorite place for steaks in Kennebunkport.

I was a little disappointed initially since they no longer offered the stuffed chicken breast, but I found the alternate chicken dish to be wonderful, too. Wine selection was good.
