Lovely warm pub and very pleasant staff but the food was very disappointing. My friend had the fish off the specials board of which was very wet, raw looking and completely tasteless. I had the gammon I could only eat half of it as it was thick, fatty and very chewy. Presentation was very poor, for a very simple dish.

The service was great, bar was lovely and they had live music on for Halloween 🎃. However the food was not great, menu limited. All 6 of us had steaks but 3 were not cooked correctly we did complain about one as it was supposed to be Medium Rare however it was almos well done. But couldn’t be replaced as they didn’t have anymore. They did take this off the bill. We may give it another go but with not with a group.

We returned to The Marquis of Granby for a meal following our previous visit where we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly bar staff and enjoyed the hospitality,surroundings,atmosphere,food and drink on offer.
