Open to holiday makers, wedding guests and locals, the Murray Arms Hotel in Gatehouse of Fleet is an extension of Laggan, offering bed and breakfast, grazing boards between 1.00pm - 4.30pm and our supper menu from 5pm - 8.30pm.

We have undergone an extensive refurbishment, winning Hotel of the Year in 2023 for Best Design. Our new spaces include our bar area which is dog friendly and our new restaurant.

    The service was marginally slow (particularly the drinks order) but the food was exceptionally good. will be back. setting is lovely.

    The service was very poor, felt like they didn’t know what they were doing. One person in our company is gluten free there is hardly any gluten free options available and when her meal came it had gluten on it so had to be sent back to the kitchen. The burger also didn’t not look cooked. When we went to pay it was all wrong aswell.

    Great experience from start to finish. Food was very tasty with large portion sizes. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Would definetly recommend if you are in or near Gatehouse of Fleet.

    My chicken curry was superb and my wife’s fish & chips was very excellent. Desserts were also excellent.

    I was looking forward to trying The Murray Arms, but was slightly worried as had heard a couple of instances of service lacking slightly but this was definitely not the case for us. Service was great, food was delicious and decor is lovely. Looking forward to going back.

    The menu was extremely limited and not all options were available. The dish we chose was nicely presented and tasted fine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, however it felt a little chilly. The staff were friendly and helpful.
