A beautiful environment for afternoon tea. We were seated right in front of the harpist for an even better birthday experience! Javier provided excellent service as well.

This experience was great for my daughter and I. The ambience and energy was amazing and the harp player was incredible. On the other hand, the server forgot my drink and I had to cancel it as we were more than half way done with our tea time. Also, we weren’t offered water and when I looked around everyone had water and the guy came around to refill water and he was confused on having no water glasses on the table. The main lady/host was not inviting at all, more of a stern tone—“you’ll be seated once your coats are checked in”. These things should be a magical experience for people and it was 50-50.

A holiday tea can be a festive, fun experience. At the Palm Court in The Drake Hotel, however, I found the food mediocre, the room crowded with close tables, and the service attentive but brusque. Tea at the Drake is a less expensive option than at some other Chicago hotels, but at $79 pp, it should have been a more elevated experience.

Overpriced food, poor service with low attention to detail. The only thing that saved it was that they had vegetarian options and the harpist was amazing. But too much rush and not enough attention to detail in service and food.

I’ve never felt more ripped off before! Aside from the novel tea experience, harp player and Drake’s holiday ambience, the tea sandwiches were 90% bread and variety limited with the repeat of lox. The desserts were mediocre and by NO means was this tea worth $70 pp!! Let me repeat!!!! Insane price for minimal tea sandwiches with scarce meat offered. Although the customer is offered an unlimited amount, one grows very tired and bored of the same tiny sandwiches. We will never return.

A special experience. Love the harp! I felt like the Queen at her afternoon tea! The food was delicious. Decorations beautiful. This beats macys walnut room by a long way. A bit pricey but for the experience it’s worth it.
