From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. Le is the one of the few chefs cooking contemporary food built on Southeast Asian flavors that has garnered rave reviews -- a foundation built on delicious memories first introduced by his mother. They are open Monday through Saturday, serving lunch and dinner. You can also still find them at the Farmer’s Markets at Blaisdell, Kailua and KCC.

Innovative Vietnamese-Asian fusion cooking in a fun-filled atmosphere with great, friendly, and attentive service. Especially loved the bites (all 3 but especially the venison tartare), crab and white asparagus risotto, and the canh bi do. Too many wonderful dishes to try all at once--we'll be back. Desserts looked great, but we were too full to try this time. If you like Mescal, you'll love the midday run.

Great restaurant however I believe it’s unreasonable to add 6% tax for back of house staff and then assume it’s ok to ask for gratuity for service staff. Build this in the pricing of your food not on top of the bill. I have never ever seen this before and we travel globally often .

Tried different things tonight, since their Spring menu was published. Everything was tasty but a bit too spicy for my liking. Still the food was prepared differently and interestingly. Can hardly wait till the Summer menu comes out.

Hostess was friendly. The mussels were outstanding-that sauce, wow! Service was fast, and accurate. The only con I can think of was finding parking (not the restaurants fault! Just given the location there isn’t a lot of parking). It took us almost 15 minutes to find a spot that we had to pay parking for and it was a few blocks away. But given the service and how good the food was-I’d do it again.

Despite the noise---full house of people eating and drinking, we had a great time. The food and service were excellent. Found that eating at the bar can be a lot of fun.

The food was good but the service was awful, our starters came out 20 minute apart and the main courses came out nearly 30 minutes apart with a side of rice coming out 10 minutes after the main course had arrived. The reason given was they only had a small grill!!! Really!! this restaurant that had well over 100 covers, so to use that as a excuse was quite unbelievable. On top of this all the staff walked around looking totally miserable. Such a shame as the food was really quite nice but you couldn't relax or enjoy it.
