We visited the Pink Cabana on Black Friday, it was uncharacteristically quiet at 12:30pm on a Friday in the season. Maybe everyone was out shopping? This was why we noticed significantly less attentive and slower service than usual. If it had been busy we would’ve taken it in stride, but with more than half the tables empty we seldom saw our server. It’s a darling place, we always love the ambiance and the food is very tasty, it just didn’t have the attentive service and fun vibe we are accustomed to. As for prices, well it’s a hotel restaurant so it’s not for the value-oriented diner. We will be back again, it was likely just an off day.

Cool vibes. Cute vintage decor - felt like you are transported in time with a modern flair. Sands breakfast was basic and boring 🥱
Service was ok.

This was supposed to be the most special of evenings- it was my husbands special birthday dinner. We arrived on time and were seated but told our server had many tables so service would be delayed. No problem. Drinks from the bar were amazing. Appetizers were also great. But dinner service was incredibly delayed!!! We waited and waited for our food. We arrived at 6:45 and didn’t get dinner until at least 8:15. Even our check took a long time to come. They wanted to give my husband desert but we had a special birthday cake waiting for us at home. Regarding the food- even my daughter’s tagliatelle was salty. Special note - I had tried to order the pork chop which was served with cabbage but I ended up ordering the steak frites because the chef would not replace the cabbage which I would not be able to eat with anything else at all. Not happy! Next time we will just go to the bar for terrific drinks and appetizers instead of dinner. I believe the chef needs training about getting the food out at appropriate timing. So disappointing for what was to be a special night! We expected the best food and service - our bill was well over $400 for the 4 of us but the food wasn’t worth it. I always review highly so this was not a great experience. Again- go to the bar for the amazing drinks!

We LOVE SO much about this place…the design/ambiance, creative cocktails and consistent quality of food presentation and taste (music doesn’t match the ambience and is too loud for dinner conversation)! However EVERY single time we have eaten here (several times for brunch and lunch and now dinner) we are met with a non-smiling, unfriendly, hostess with total attitude! This time, notwithstanding. Also consistently upon our arrival, the restaurant is 10%-30% occupied yet the hostess only offers us 1 table and outright refuses to consider seating us where we would prefer ~ claiming the entire restaurant is sold out with reservations. Incredibly annoying and off putting! Definitely NOT the way we (nor management) wanted to start off our dinner out. In this particular case, it actually did fill up to almost full capacity by the time we LEFT 2 hrs later on a Fri night in season.
Imo management could consider and teach the staff how to maybe offer a compromise that is reasonable and customer friendly like, allowing guests to sit in one of the sea of available tables at their time of arrival woth the caveat that we would need to be finished within 1h 15m max so they can clean and flip the table for the next reserved guests. Just a thought!
That said, shout out to our fantastic waitress Yasmine! The scallops, duck & salmon were all three out of this world and the Cabana Colada is one of my favorite inventive cocktails I have ever tasted! I REALLY want to love this place and consider it as a year round staple but sadly, thus far, they have only consistently annoyed and disappointed me. Sadly, I’m not sure of we will go back again unless things change. 🤷♀️

They did not have 3 items on the menu available. Our party of 4 all had to pick something different than our first choice order. They didn’t comp anything because of this which was disappointing.
