The Pink Door is an independently owned (never cloned, never genetically modified) restaurant that has been quietly dedicated to fresh & local Italian food since 1981. Its seafood & produce driven menu has been the central theme throughout its wildly popular domain in Seattle's Pike Place Market.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Dylan Giordan

From the OpenTable editors: A Seattle favorite since 1981, this Pike Place Market restaurant is where owner Jackie Roberts wholly embraces her Italian American heritage. Think seasonal vegetables dipped in bagna cauda, fettuccine with braised wild boar, and negroni sbagliatos all served in an airy, rustic dining room decked out with white tablecloths and chandeliers. When the weather's nice, post up on the restaurant's charming patio for some epic Elliott Bay views.

Wow - Jeannie wow. It is hard enough to get a reservation - let alone telling everyone how AMAZING it is and worth the wait! We had a 630 reservation (earlier than my preference but what they had available). We were seated promptly by several extremely professional and friendly hosts. I was not aware of the “show” and was extremely surprised when a manager asked (proactively) not to take photos of the anticipated performer. The performer was INSANE - I mean - wow - I sat there shoving my face full of food - and her strength and coordination - and and and. But that aside and performance being grand - nothing compared to the service! Jeannie - you are a god of service! We ended up staying hours - literally just to hang with Jeanie and be so grateful for her knowledge and awesome personality! We ordered a Mecca of foods that didn’t really mesh - and she still somehow managed to use her expertise to course them lovely. There’s a reason The Pink Door has been a local destination for so long - excellent food paired with professionals like Jeanie! Thank you!!! We’ll be back! C&K

The Ciopinno was full of amazing seafood and the base was flavorful and not too spicy. Would order again. The spinach lasagna was small but every bite was delightful and delicious!!

Dined at the Pink Door for the first time in many many years. We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had the winter bitter salad, the prime rib and the special cod dish. Everything was great. Looking forward to going back.

They gave us a wrong table for the birthday party. I reserved a table next to the window to see the water but they gave us a table next to the entrance and foods were just okay. The service was not great and they failed my birthday.

Dear Eun, Thank you for your feedback. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. To clarify, the choice of a table in our lounge was the selection you made while booking. The note you provided—“arrange the table next to the table”—was unclear, and our view tables were already fully booked at the time of your reservation. As stated in the confirmation letter sent to you: “While we strive to accommodate your seating preferences, the specific location of your seating depends on availability at the time of your arrival and may be subject to change.” If you have specific seating preferences in the future, we recommend contacting our front desk directly when booking to ensure clear communication and the best possible arrangements.

Elyse was our server- she made our meal experience very special. Despite a busy service time- she was very attentive. I had finally snagged a reservation here - a good friend and my daughter were both visiting from out of town. We sat in the main dining room and had a gorgeous window view of the Pike Market harbor side view. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Hope to dine again soon!

The service and food were both fabulous, as usual. The Sicilian blood orange salad was absolutely lovely, as were our pasta dishes. Dessert was decadent, and accompanied our espresso martinis wonderfully. The only thing I wish had been different was the volume of the table next to us. It’s normal to hear an overall buzz of background noise, but one person at their table thought everyone around him needed to hear every word he was saying and it was just obnoxious. Why is it always the most dim-witted, uncouth person who decides to make themselves the loudest? It wasn’t even entertaining to overhear.

Fun atmosphere. Was highly recommended by several people. Felt the price point was too high for what we received. Attentive server!
