The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

Menu was really good. Seafood was excellent. The veggies were prepared so flavorfully we all would like their recipe for them! Services was lovely.

Food was good, shrimp & grits was the best of the dishes although the desserts (pecan pie and apple cobbler) were excellent. Service was efficient and pleasant. The wine list is modest however the wine pour was outstanding. Ambience is to be expected given the pirate theme, probably more suited to families than couples looking for something a bit more subdued. Overall good experience but not notable.

We could only get a 3:15 reservation😩 so the buffet had ended at 3 and the dinner menu didn’t start until 4. The lunch menu was limited. Also my order came out a different dish so by time I got my dish my daughter had already finished her dish. All in all it was disappointing. Also I was interested in the history of the building but our waiter apparently was not and didn’t add much to the experience. Parking is still free but they are going to start charging for parking…
