We were wanting a family venue for Sunday Lunch having 5 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 2. This place was great. They had traditional Sunday lunches at reasonable prices and also a children's menu.
Would definitely go back.
Staff were very helpful.

Best Sunday lunch. Classic roast was perfect, great veggie and lighter options. Staff were great. Dog friendly, nice beers and Heineken 0% on tap for the driver. Couldn’t fault it.

We arrived for our booking at 12 noon and stood outside for 20 minutes and the venue did not open so had to find elsewhere to eat. This was meant to be a treat for a birthday.

We booked for Christmas Dinner after reading the reviews, what a total let down. The hotel has just changed hands and the new owners seemed utterly clueless. The service and food were disgraceful, after nearly two hours we left before our dinner plates were cleared and dessert served. The place was grubby too but the beer was good!

Extremely long wait for food, over 40 minutes with only 4 other tables occupied. Dead atmosphere due to it being so quiet. Female staff member was great, two male staff including the manager who was working wearing his coat were very nervous and didn't appear competent or in control. The manager was apologetic for the wait for food and offered us free desserts.

Convenient location nr town centre, with plenty of parking nearby. Staff friendly and helpful, service time acceptable. Food good and inexpensive. Looking a bit rough round the edges but just been taken over so hopefully will be fixed (toilets mainly).
