   Great food and really great staff, polite, helpful and very friendly which doesn’t happen very often in my experience. This was our first visit and certainly not our last. Nice and local for us. I which we had found this place earlier.

   Lovely Sunday roast for a large family in the restaurant. It was really clean venue with a rustic modern country pub decor, beautiful wallpaper. The food was lovely, ambience was relaxed but buzzing and the staff were really attentive and happy. Would definitely suggest. We even got yummy Lindt chocolates with the bill! A delicious touch.

   Family get together for Christmas and you did not disappoint. Good service and good food. Nice ambience and attentive. Only one small comment - it would be great if you could offer a couple of other choices on top of the normal Sunday roasts - just a few more items from the normal menu just for some additional choices.

   Staff fall over themselves with great service. Pork snitzel was dry. Halloumi fries the BEST ever. I gave ambience a 3. I personally woukd have preferred old pub ambience rather than restaurant where I don’t think the interior designers hit it quite right, nit cosy very noisy off other tables laugh out loud. Not sure what can be done about that though

   I really don’t like leaving disappointing reviews but I have to say this is the first time we have eaten at The Plough and I don’t think we will return. The meat was overcooked and overall you was very poor food wise. Service was ok. Dining area was too bright all main lights on didn’t set a nice dinner setting. No music just the din of people talking and the food sadly was below average tough dry meat was not worth the money at all 😔

   From start to finish this was a treat! Gorgeous place, fantastic welcome and the food was outstanding - best we have had! It was our first time there and we will definitely be back

   Service was VERY slow. Waiter and waitresses were lovely but the chef’s attitude was appalling. We had Sunday roast and was only given 2 potatoes each so I asked the waiter if we could have another potato each. The waiter asked the chef and he said NO. Can you believe it. What sort of customer service is that?! The food we had was nice except the cauliflower cheese. The few florets we had were swimming in a water soup of cheese sauce which was not browned off on top. Disappointing!

   The Plough has had a very high spec makeover since our late visit. Food great, service good. Very much worth a visit.

    Lovely Sunday lunch. We Pre booked a table in the bar area, but then decided to eat in the restaurant, the change was no problem to the staff who were very nice & friendly. Would definitely recommend & will return to try the main menu another day.
