   Nice location, always a fan of Spanish Point. The menu has been downsized, which is not a bad thing. Service was very good, however, the food was overpriced and quality was average at best. I had the lobster ravioli; ravioli did not seem fresh and the “lobster” was actually langostino and was bland and rubbery and came with a small piece of garlic bread, no sides-for $35 was a lousy value. Appetizer of calamari was a very small portion and actually somehow had some fried banana peppers mixed in. Overall disappointing quality and a poor value, will not be returning.

   Thanksgiving at The Point has been a tradition for the past 4 years. This year the food was terrible. Even the dessert was terrible. Forty dollars for turkey dinner you don’t expect jarred gravy, weird turkey, wrinkled over cooked green beans, tiny scoop of potato and a tablespoon of cranberry sauce. Will be looking for a new tradition

   I’ve been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed it, so I thought it would be the perfect spot to bring my manager and Vice President for a nice meal and great views. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a huge mistake. We arrived and sat indoors since it was too hot outside, but once it cooled down, we asked to move outdoors. Most tables were open on the porch, yet our waiter chose the one table with a broken screen that blocked the view of sunset. My manager is from out of state and asked to dine waterfront so this was a huge let down. When we asked to move so we could get a full view of sunset, a waitress came out to say the other table was reserved and we couldn’t sit there. Then, the real issues began. My VP ordered a petite filet, which was out of stock, then a ribeye, also out of stock. She finally settled on grouper and fries. Our salads for our entree were all forgotten, and our waiter disappeared, leaving us without drinks or service for an extended period of time. Another server eventually came in to finish the job. Meanwhile, the “reserved” table stayed empty the entire time we we were there and as we left. This experience was beyond embarrassing and far from the impression I wanted to give to my company. I expected this place to deliver a polished experience, but it was the complete opposite. I’ve never been so embarrassed in front of a VP in my entire career.

   Our service was excellent, and the food was delicious! My filet was cooked perfectly and my hubby's lamb chops were wonderful! The view 9s spectacular and it's a great place to be during a thunderstorm.

   Two of us had Shrimp and Scallops Scampi. Not your typical Scampi dish with pasta, but was absolutely delicious and a bit spicy. The third person in our group had the Chicken Marcella. It too was very delicious. The side veggies of asparagus and carrots were a bit overcooked. More so the asparagus than the carrots. We will definitely be returning with more friends.

    Had the smoked mahi dip - first time having this appetizer and was very good. Truffle fries good too. I had grouper, guests and wifey had chilean sea bass and all cooked perferctly. Vegetables a little bland. Drinks were good. A little pricey for the type of food. Can't beat the sunset view. Unfortunately, the 3rd floor with the best expansive view was closed during our visit.
