The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. Where you can plant yourself down on the swing seat, bench or at the bar and feel like you are on your family’s porch.

It’s a lively place where you can hoe into fresh, locally harvested produce, delivered by our shed-hands. The same hands that will deliver you good-natured banter, craft beers on tap, great tasting wines and unique cocktails.

The menu offers cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

It took an unacceptable 30 minutes just to get our order taken, followed by another excruciating 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally did, the food was a massive disappointment—bland, under-seasoned, and the $50 wagyu was shockingly tough. Absolutely not worth the time or money.

The restaurant is packed with people, and while the ambiance and decorations are undeniably stunning, the service is abysmal. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed, rushing around stressed, making it difficult to get their attention. When I politely asked one of them if we could order our mains, she curtly replied that she was busy and told us to wait. Absolutely unacceptable. As a food enthusiast and with my husband being a sous chef, we were thoroughly disappointed with the food. The flavors were bland, the pasta was overcooked, and the lemon lime bitters were so sour they triggered my husband’s reflux. The cosmopolitan lacked the expected cranberry kick, though the mojito was decent. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced—$42 for a pork dish that was absolutely not worth it. The garden ambiance and the pink Christmas-themed alley were the only saving grace, but with such poor service, subpar food, and steep prices, we would never return.

Sat down with the menu given to us, chose our mains, had to go through 4 different waiters until someone took our order. When they finally did they said it was a different menu as it was after 3. So what we both chose we couldn’t order, as it was now a short menu. Not this waiters fault a previous one had wrongly given to us. Food was average, experienced rushed,

My daughters and I came after our Santa photos, we had a booking so the table was already ready to go. Our server/waiter Riki was amazing, made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we need the entire time, even entertained my youngest a little too. Thanks Riki for making our lunch visit wonderful!

Service was not the best as we had to wait a long time to get attention from the waitress to order the mains after we had the starters. We even asked the help from another waitress who said would call our waitress, but it didn't happen. The XMAS decoration was not ready and we were informed by the waitress that we could only see that with a voucher we would get after paying our check. After diner we went there to find out that there was no need for such a voucher and we could have gone there earlier when the kids were still awaken. The decoration was not yet complete though.
