We came here because we visited this place first time a few months ago on our trip to SF and we loved it. However, this time was disappointing and left a bitter aftertaste. We came as soon as the restaurant opened, we waited in line on the street for the restaurant to open. Once we got seated we ordered our food fast with the drinks, because we were hungry and we had our kid with us. However, there were people around us who were seated after us almost 20 min and took their time to order their food, and somehow they ordered many of the same dishes we did and were served first. We were starving by the time our food came out and instead of dishes coming out one after another as for everyone else we had ours coming out at the same time. It was annoying to either have no food or everything coming at the same time. To have to wait for food for so long while people who came long time later getting the same dishes coming up in timely manner. It was so noticeable, at some point even waitress said there was a mixup, I assumed after ordering 8 dishes at least the dessert will be taken off the check since our services was not good, but no, fully charged for food coming up at the weirdest speed ever. There are too many good restaurants in SF, even if food taste great but is poorly served it’s better to go place where you can actually enjoy food and do not feel like your order has been forgot for a half of the service.

Best meal I've had in a long time. Stellar service, excellent ambiance, and interesting seasonal menu. The food and cockails are works of art, but also accessible. Focus on flavor and textures as opposed to trying to super decandent.

What a find! Food choices were great- love the fact they are shareable as it's hard sometimes for my wife and me to try different things at a restaurant with individual/full portions. Quality was excellent as dishes are innovative, accurately described, and tasty. Don't pass on the caviar potato cloud (insider tip- order one for yourself instead of sharing)! And the drinks are also innovative and quite balanced in their flavor profiles!

The food was decent but way overpriced. The staff was incredibly attentive and courteous. Honestly I don’t think I’d go back again unless the price came way down. I’d say of the dozen or so Michelin places I’ve been to this is about 10th.

Th Progress is by far one of my favorite places and restaurants in SF. The vibe and playlist sets the a casual and playful atmosphere. The duck is always the star of the show and can’t be missed. Seared rare local albacore and Tierra vegetables masa dumplings were the favorite take away from the evening. It’s a special place and always look forward to returning

I’ve now dined here three times and it’s amazing every time. The Bird’s Eye View was such a fun cocktail, and the seaweed noodles, duck, and everything else were delicious.

The restaurant space is absolutely gorgeous - stunning and thoughtful design. Our server was super friendly and welcoming, and was obviously very well-versed on the offerings. The food was good - but for the price, I was expecting perhaps a bit more. Some of the dishes (the rabbit, spiced cauliflower in pumpkin mole) were spectacular while others were just OK. For the cost of the meal, my expectations were higher. The service across the board was truly wonderful.
