Our reservation was for a group of four people. The waitress took our drinks order and brought our drinks promptly. She then took our food order. We had to wait for an hour for our meals as the kitchen lost the order. Two out of four meals were fine, the fish and chips and duo of steak. The prawn sandwich was very ordinary with very small prawns, more like shrimps. The pepperoni pizza was unacceptable, the pizza dough was not fully cooked. Desserts were good, sticky toffee pudding, cheesecake and chocolate sundae. 10% was deducted from our bill without us having to ask. This is our second visit. The first was fine. This visit was disappointing.

Spotlessly clean pub with good food and good service. Booking advisable as it is busy. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits including two real ales. Locally owned village pub which is a lot better than the big pub chains.

The roast was awful, poor quality all around. Barely any gravy and it was very watery. Mash might well have been smash. Nothing positive to recommend, over priced for what it was as well.

Starters were a let down, changing the menu to what is now was a bad decision. Did not like halloumi with fries starter, too much cheese and curry sauce. Would have been nicer halloumi with a small salad. Partner was disappointed you have taken belly pork tacos off the menu, nachos were tortillas. Mains saved the day, reasonably priced. Noise level was too much when we left but nice ambience when we arrived.
