You will get to experience Michter's signature flight including American Whiskey, Straight Bourbon, Straight Rye, and Sour Mash. We have been wanting to try the Rackhouse for some time and finally had the opportunity last night. There were very few guests in the restaurant. Service was prompt and efficient. I had a tailgate special with a pulled pork sandwich. The sides were nothing more than food service specials put into individual dishes. The pork was good but I had more bun than meat

Rackhouse Tavern is located in the Campbell House near the University of Kentucky campus and had students, including traveling teams, and parents buzzing all over. That made for an energetic ambiance, but slower service at times. Still food included interesting options, well prepared, and delicious. Dessert options included a giant multilayer chocolate cake that was also delicious. Our server was delightful, but maybe a bit overworked by the Saturday evening crowd.

Apparently there was a dog show at the restaurant hotel. I like dogs but to have 10!dogs around you while you’re eating is awful. We should have been told that there was dogs in the restaurant.

Menu is very limited, not much to select from. Literally almost one meat selection for an entree option and that is all. Full bar if you want to drink. Fried green tomatoes were good.
