Everything from drinks to dessert & service was amazing! We had the Petals and Rhubarbita for drinks, Kristen’s Fresh Focaccia and Margherita Pizza for appetizers, Cast Iron Chicken and Braised Beef ShortRib for Entrees, and finished with a Milk Chocolate Budino and Rhubarb Cheesecake. Every bite was mouthwatering and like it was the first bite. 10/10 all every. Kudos to Chef Kristen and Chad!! Thanks for an amazing experience!

We booked 3mos in advance - absolutely worth the wait ! From first step into the space, the ambiance has a balanced and spacious, yet intimate vibe. Decor sets the expectation for the overall experience. We arrived early and sat at the bar to connect to the space and visit with our fellow diners. The bar is well-attended and supplied with all of your favorite spirits. After being greeted and escorted to our table, delights came one after the other. We ordered additional drinks and my old-fashioned arrived in a smoked glass still covered with a delicate coaster to maintain the smoky flavors. This libation was poured tableside and garnishments added. Appetizers included fried artichoke stems, a sautéed carrots dish and focaccia bread with honey ricotta. All artisan-crafted and highly recommended. Our entrees arrived fresh and timely - iron skillet 1/2-chicken with sautéed mushrooms and spinach, osso buco ravioli, mezze penne with sausage, and mushroom cappelacci. I will put these dishes up against any I've had as a standard to reach. All very satisfying with balanced flavors and subtly enhanced each in their own way. Chef Chad stopped by and we were happy to accolade his staff and menu. Bar none. He advised enjoying the tasting menu out on the patio when the chance arises. We learned he is local to the area, growing up just blocks from the restaurant. His wife Chef Kristen is the pastry chef and sent over desserts which hit the spot, all original preparations with a bold approach to their flavor profiles. What a great way to end the experience and set the hook for another visit ! Speaking of which, make your reservations now because they are booked with healthy and growing demand. We did so again and snagged a date 70 days out. Come once and you'll waste no time putting this great establishment, menu and staff experience into your rotation. Kudos especially to Faith, our waitress and Ella, our attendant for the excellent service !

It took a long time to get a reservation to the refinery but the wait was worth it. Pinwheel lasagna and eggplant parm were both excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and super attentive. We had a great experience. Can’t wait to go back!

The Refinery has a cool old-school Italian vibe, but my experience was mixed. The entrance was hard to find, and when I mentioned it to the hostess, the feedback wasn’t really welcomed. The burrata was great, but the cacio e pepe was overly salty. Prices felt high for the area, and overall, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

My boyfriend and I came for my birthday dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We chose to do The Taste of The Refinery and I’m so happy we did. The manager came out to ask a few questions about flavor profiles and preferences. Each course was tailored to those preferences we had so much food by the end I thought I might burst! Everything was delicious and even appeased my picky eater boyfriend. The best part is they save your tasting under your reservation so if you do it again they already have an idea of your palate and can change up what you’ve already tried. Our server Kiki was just a doll and so sweet! The timing on courses was perfect and the serving staff didn’t miss a beat! Chad, Kristen, and their team really have created something special for the Wyoming Valley! There’s a reason this place is booked out for months.
