   Overall great dinner and cocktails. The prices are worth the amount of food you get. Waitress was very attentive and the chef was accommodating to substituting sides. TVs visible with sports without that being the main focus. Great atmosphere. Already have another reservation when I am back in town!

   We go to The Retreat about every other month or so. It's about five minutes from our home so it's super convenient, but it's also super good every time! We love that the menu changes often so it's always a new experience. We recommend The Retreat to anyone who asks about great places to dine around the area.

   My husband ordered the NYE Tasting menu. Crab cake tasted good. The crab cake was very runny, dip like texture (outside of the cake was toasted). Lamb lollipop was delicious, Beef tenderloin entree with fried oysters and mashed potatoes was delicious. The tenderloin clearly was NOT a 6 ounce size. I ordered a blue cheese wedge. Very Disappointed that the ONLY thing on it was grated boiled egg and a creamy blue cheese dressing. The menu states tomatoe, applewood smoked bacon also on the wedge). Clearly not worth $12. My sirloin steak was rare. I ordered medium well. This was corrected and was delicious. We ordered IPA SYCAMORE Mountain Candy beer. Ice cold at a great price. Our server was great. Service very good.

    The food was delicious. We ate at the Retreat last night and my husband who normally does not eat steak ate his whole dish and has not stopped talking about how good it was all day today.
