We came here because it was dog friendly and because of the high star reviews. As soon as we sat down the waitress came over with a dog water bowl which we didn't even have to ask for, which was a great start. We went for a three course meal with a snack to begin with and each course was as amazing as the last. Great food and service. Highly recommend.

Really delicious meal last night, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Imaginative and unusual combinations, and at astonishingly reasonable prices for the quality of the dishes. Particularly good where the snails and truffle mayo (to die for), the orange butter with the bread, the artichoke and goats cheese risotto (I am so enjoying the revival of the Jerusalem, as it is a taste of my childhood and was hard to find for decades), the potatoes in a rather yummy creamy sauce and the blue cheese ice cream and pear dessert. So nice to be able to hear conversation without straining too, though I think there was music in other parts of the building. The service was also excellent; good humoured but not intrusive. Our only quibble, and it was a very small one, was that some of the food could have been hotter; the risotto and mains were all slightly on the tepid side. But it didn't marr our enjoyment of a truly excellent dinner. We had driven 45 minutes to get there across country and deemed it well worth the effort. Bravo The Riverside!

The Riverside Inn serves outstanding food with a great attention to detail. Everything was first class and considerably better than anything else in Herefordshire and nearby counties.
