   The menu has changed since my last visit, and unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything to eat. I don’t enjoy spicy food, and most of the new dishes include jalapeños, chili, spicy oils, or sriracha mayo. For someone like me, the options are basically pizza or nothing. I used to love Rooftop YYC, but sadly, I won’t be returning.

   The rooftop was beautifully decorated for Christmas. My wife and I were trying to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were seated next to a very loud Christmas party. They were crowded around our table for a bit, and everything was really loud. We had a bartender serving us because they were so busy. The food made up for the terrible seating location. I’ll try again when it’s not Christmas, and I really hope that they don’t always have a DJ blasting music during dinner hours. I didn’t realize I was going to a club for dinner.

   Be prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs lol Unless I missed it, there is no other way into the restaurant which does not make it wheelchair friendly.

   Food was ok. Service and environment was great. Really enjoyed the decorations during the holidays making it feel very festive. It was a bit too loud for lunch time conversation.

   Google states that they are open until 1:00 AM. However, we arrived at 11:15 AM and found the door closed. Despite our efforts to enter, we were turned away at the entrance by an individual who informed us that there was a Christmas party in progress. I even sent a message to them at 7:00 PM to confirm our walk-in appointment, which they failed to acknowledge the party. This behavior is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.

    Well-presented and tasty food. Our party of 3 tried items from the shareable menu and enjoyed every bite. Some gluten-free mains but not dessert, however we were told that there will be an addition at some point. Server had to return to kitchen to get cream for coffee because only milk was offered intially. Servers were all pleasant and helpful, but seemed distracted. We learned at the end of the meal that they were working with new food and beverage menus as well as point of sale system. I am satisfied that future service would be exemplary. The restaurant has been decorated for Christmas and was pleasantly merry and bright. Sufficient spacing between tables to provide privacy. Would definitely return.
