Food was pretty good and it has a nice atmosphere. Hopefully they are just working out some service kinks, but we had made a reservation and they clearly had no table planned for us. We were told it could be up to 35 minutes to wait on a table or we could take open seating in the bar. We opted to wait for an actual table rather than take one of the small first come, first served high tops. Eventually we were offered a lounge seat instead, which we took. If you’re eating an actual meal, don’t do lounge seating… you’ll be having dinner with a plate in your lap. I understand waiting for a few minutes for a table to clear, but if you have a resy you shouldn’t be treated like a walk in. Our actual server was good… this was a host/management issue.

Great last minute choice to try the Salty Zebra. The menu is limited but certainly had enough choices to satisfy our needs. Food was so fresh and delicious.

This is the new gem in Tequesta. Try it now before it becomes exceedingly busy. So nice for our little village to have a wonderful food option in a cool funky spot. I’ll be trying their other restaurant, the Local Pub. Looking forward to returning soon to the Salty!

We had the best night out at The Salty Zebra in Tequesta. The food was delicious & the chef came out to talk to the tables which I loved! My husband had the duck special & he said it was the best duck he ever had. We shared appetizers of raw oysters…. Mmm… mushroom pate which was so good & a side of carrots which we loved. I was so glad I ordered the steak which was prepared perfectly & was pared with their delicious potatoes. I was so full from our appetizers that I took some of my steak home & it was great for breakfast! The ambience just enhanced our evening. Plus I really enjoyed talking to other customers & I now have ideas for my next meal at The Salty Zebra. The staff was very attentive & we can’t wait for our next visit!

I went on the second day of their grand opening. Went alone at 8:00 pm. It was busy but I was seated ahead of my reserved time. However I did notice the couple next to me did receive their appetizers before me even though I was seated first. It was strange how the orders were timed coming out. My waiter, Abraham, was nice and attentive. I tried the Tuna Tartare and it had a nice balance of taste and ingredients. Fresh tasting and I really enjoyed it. However when it came time to try the homemade pasta which was the draw for me, I was surprised they only offer 3 options. Upon the server’s recommendation, I ordered the Basil Maltagliati with Shrimp and I pretty much left it untouched. The pasta was mushy and had no taste. The dish overall had no taste. It was very disappointing considering reviews from patrons the night before. The ambience was good. Tables and bar area were full. Decor was understated. I could not correlate the decore with the name, Salty Zebra. Great name. Expected Venison or Bison on the menu with a name like that. I left my dinner but did enjoy the tuna appetizer. Give it a try. Always good to help local businesses. Not sure Ill be returning soon but may again for a second chance.

Loved it. Everything was good from start to finish. Chicken breast was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. Unique flavors in all the dishes. Cocktails were on point and service was attentive and fast. Looking forward to going back.
