   We have been visiting The Sawmills for many years and the food this time was superb!! Is there a new chef? Perfect.

   Food was very over priced, some items more expensive than Surrey prices. £11 for glaring mushroom starter... Breaded mushroom still cold in the mild with lettuce and dip Chicken parm was inedible 2 barley touched. First gentleman to greet us was fab, lady serving us was ok. By 9pm most staff left so when asked for the bill it was handed us along card machine before even having a chance to review the bill.

   Reception & customer service was good and pleasant Making booking was easy However the food was cold which makes a well made food not so enjoyable Server accidentally spilt a drink and would have been nice if he offered to retop the drink, as they aren’t cheap. This will be my second visit and twice I encountered a cold meal Servers bring out plate with a serving cloth to indicate hot plate, however it was not, a little disappointing.

   Could not fault the food whatsoever and my wife worked in the food industry for years, service was excellent nothing to much trouble, will definitely be going back to the sawmills again.

   Have eaten here before, excellent Sunday roast. This time my wife had crab linguine which was delicious. I had the steak and black pudding pie. The pie was disappointing being mainly black pudding and also dry. Won’t stop us returning as everything else is great. I’m sure I was just unlucky with the pie

   Lovely pub restaurant, very welcoming and attentive staff, food and drink excellent, good specials especially fresh seafood. Banoffee pie was as good as they claim. Only thing preventing 5 stars for service too was the main courses taking around half an hour to arrive, this was a bit too long but we were prepared for this based on other reviews.

    Placed on table near kitchen constant tracing in and out plus 2 close tables both with dog’s barking at each other.
