This is a wonderful place to both eat and stay in. The staff are helpful and professional and the food was amazing. Sadly no cocktails available, but there was a comprehensive drinks menu.

The food and service were fabulous but the chairs in the dining room are extremely uncomfortable. They are all the same and have very saggy seat cushions. This means you spend your time trying to prevent the chair frame at the front under your legs from cutting off your blood supply. New chairs needed please.

A beautifully located bar/restaurant. The menu had a great selection. We went for the sharing platter which was delicious and filling. The staff were attentive, professional and polite. Even when they were rudely spoken to by another table they handled it so well.

Great friendly helpful staff in a lovely inn serving excellent food in bar and restaurant. The open log fires were a bonus in the bar area creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The room we stayed in was very nice with a very comfortable bed. Overall a great stay.

Excellent service coupled with great food. The soufle dessert was outstanding - one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

We have eaten here before, but only in the summer when we sat in the garden. This was lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday and they most certainly did us proud. It was faultless, the food was excellent, service attentive but not intrusive, on a very cold day it was nice and warm and we were not hurried. Everything you could want in a restaurant, we will certainly be going again before the summer. Thank you to everyone.

Bleak & cold pub with no atmosphere & borderline inedible food, for ex; soggy chewy skin on small fish & chips & stale bread and pricey. We won’t be going back there which is a shame as beautiful location.

Dear Alice, We are very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit to us for lunch start of January. We take all feedback seriously and I have passed your comments about the food you had during your time with us to our head chef for him to review. Our Fish and chips are usually receive very positive feedback, we even have a fish night our guests enjoy them that much so to hear you did not agree and experienced something different is very disappointing. We will take your feedback on board and do hope you decide to visit us again in the future. Kind regards Alice
