   A memorable quiet birthday event which Missy made sure was excellent. There was a large group there which delayed service a bit but we were in no hurry and Missy was so very genuine and caring as well as ensuring our food was excellent. Thank you chef and team….

   I has the sautéed chicken livers. You have to ask for medium rare or they can be over cooked. The seafood Soup turned out to be overly spicy with very little seafood flavor. The hostess was kind enough to trade it out for a very good Caesar salad, which I. Enjoyed. Andrei was the lamb ragu with papadeli pasta. Fred deep flavour noodles for el dente, I would definitely recommend this. Because it was my birthday I had the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Could have been more lava like but thats the pastry chef in me talking. I ordered it for the chocolate and I got plenty of that, Very rich. Loved it It was the perfect birthday Celebration dinner even if my husband couldn't be there that night. I enjoyed it very much.

   The setting is very interesting, like the inside of a classic library. Lovely live piano music playing. The food was good, a bit on the heavy side. Major complaint was we waited an hour and a half for our entrees. We only ordered one appetizer and then an hour passed. No one check in, nothing was compt. Portions were small for. $35 plate. I wouldn’t return

   Dinner was terrific, I had the prime rib special, friend the filet mignon. This is a small intimate restaurant with live music and excellent service. Highly recommend.

   First of all, don’t skip the speakeasy! The mixologist is incredible. I’ve had many high cocktails in Las Vegas and other places and honestly, she beats them all! The cocktails are tasty inventive and out of this world. It looks like they have a great happy hour where you can get small plates and good cocktails so I would definitely recommend giving this a try. After grabbing a quick cocktail, we were quickly moved into the small but nicely appointed dining room. It really has a vintage feel complete with fantastic old photos. We started with the bread board with truffle butter and the pistachio encrusted goat cheese in a tomato bisque. Both were delicious. We moved onto our entrées. I had the pork chop which was juicy and well cooked, the parmesan spinach and whipped potatoes. The creams spinach was out of this world made refresh spinach and had a wonderful flavor. The whip potatoes were nothing to write home about. They arrived very creamy and they were tasty, but they were lukewarm and tepid food is not my thing. my friends ordered steaks off the menu. Both steaks were ordered, medium rare. Unfortunately they both arrived medium or almost medium well. Was really too bad. The other sides in the meal, the loaded baked potato crispy brussels sprouts were great. For dessert, we tried the molten lava cake which truly was lackluster. The center was more like a lump of fudge being the molten runny chocolate I’m used to. The butter cake was good, but not the best butter cake I’ve ever had. Overall, I’d strongly recommend both the speak and the boardroom. The service was impeccable on Friday and Saturday night makes us a wonderful destination. It’s a great date night restaurant or special occasion restaurant and I would highly recommend it.

   We took our son here to celebrate his 16th birthday. We sat in a leather banquette with crisp while linen, a fresh rose, and a custom birthday greeting on the table. The service was friendly and professional. The food was excellent and the portions generous. We really appreciated the old school steakhouse vibe and decor. And the prices were reasonable. As we left, our son asked if we could dine here again. That alone warrants a 5-star review. We’ll be back for sure.

   We had a very delicious meal. The occasion was a friend's birthday and when we arrived at our table, there was a Happy Birthday sign. When it was time for dessert, they brought it with a candle to celebrate. The Boardroom made my friend's birthday memorable. Thank you.

    This is a little gem here in Novato! Really enjoy going there. There's a piano man, which is really nice. Food is yummy, there are also some nice little touches at the table, I won't tell though. It's a small place. Makes for a good night out.
