Restaurant closes at 1am,-when making a booking please allow yourself as much time as possible to relax and enjoy your visit.
Outside area-closed at 12am ,which we recommend booking in advance.
Situated in the coastal village of Muchalls, just off the A90, and 10 minutes from Aberdeen and Stonehaven,The restaurant derives its name from the sea stacks located on the beautiful surrounding coastline.

It is brought to you and led by head chef and owner Andy Smart, who’s aim is to offer a flexible and relaxed environment where everybody is welcome.
Dogs are also welcomed too.(we have treats and water bowls for them!)
Dining in a relaxed environment , the food style is seasonal and inventive and draws inspiration from international flavours, whilst using local suppliers, with an emphasis on simplicity, and where the staff are both friendly and professional.

Food was excellent, you would pay another 20% anywhere else in the area for the same standard, if you could find it. Yet again The Stack has proven to be as good if not better than anywhere else in the Aberdeen area and far better value for money. Brilliant.

As always the stack did not disappoint. From 1st walking in to leaving you are made to feel very welcome. We arrived early for our meal, but I was ok to take a seat in the bar area for a drink before we went to our table. From the food to the staff this place is amazing, and if you ever go try the makhani chicken curry 👌🏻. Can not wait to our next visit. Keep up the hard work team Stack.

The food here is consistently very good, the service excellent, and the atmosphere relaxed and fridndly . We see it as our place to go for a good meal.
