Located in the leafy area of Bowdon, The Stamford is a modern interpretation of pubs from a bygone era; a social space enjoyed by the local community and visitors alike, serving the wider Altrincham, Hale and Cheshire area.

We offer a fresh food a la carte menu alongside lunch specials throughout the pub and a crowd-pleasing set price menu on a Sunday, including our famous mixed meat roasts. Whether a quick pint or bite after work, a romantic meal for two, a special celebration, or a few hours sat in our sunshine garden at the front, we have space
to accommodate all in this community-focused pub made with love.

Booked a table last minute. The pub was busy but that didn’t affect the level of service. The staff were excellent, especially Monika who went over and above to help. The food was lovely. All round great afternoon

The service is always great here but the food was disappointing. There is a new menu and the choice is not nearly as good. Have to order chips separately from Burgers and the chips are a fiver!!

We come up from London a few times a year to see family and always have dinner at the Stamford each time. The food is exceptional, the quality is superb and is clearly made with a lot of care. Today I had the most tender roast turkey I have ever had, the whole roast with best I’ve had in a long time. The pricing is reasonable and the staff are just wonderful! We will continue to come and eat at the Stamford! Thank you! ♥️
