The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

    In all very good and a great partner to The Bistro and Smoking Goat. Mussels were delicious. Not sure about the stodgy olive bread - seemed strange choice! Fish Pie and Tempura lovely and generous in portion size. Service exceptional Will defo be back and recommend Thx

    Had a really lovely evening at Stravraig last night. First time here and will return. Waiter wished my husband a happy birthday upon arrival - I only mentioned on booking form, so this was a nice touch. Sadly we had to leave earlier than planned as I was unwell, but hope to be back soon.

    I and my wife eaten in most of the restaurants in Ayr, Prestwick, and Troon and I can honestly say that the Stravaig has the upper edge on them all. The food, service, and ambience are second to none and I thoroughly recommend the establishment….it might not be the cheapest, but in my mind, it’s simply the best

    Nice menu with plenty of choice. Portion sizes adequate for a lunch, salad foods nice and fresh and food nicely presented. Chips could have been hotter as the potatoes in the salad but overall good.

    We attended here as a family group to celebrate a graduation. First time in the restaurant and we could not have chosen a better place. From our greeting on entry until we left everything was as we would have wanted. Excellent service aligned to first class food. A very pleasant evening to round of an excellent day. Thank you and we will return soon and recommend to others.

    I would not hesitate in returning, everything was great from start to finish. Very helpful and attentive staff, excellent food. I actually can’t fault it here. Will definitely be back 10/10.
