   Incredible food, service and vibes!! Will definitely come back if ever back around the area. I reserved a week before and it exceeded my expectations!

   This was the perfect Sunday roast. The place is gorgeous, all understated warmth and charm, the service from everyone, especially their manager, was friendly without being effusive, and nothing was too much trouble. The roast was quite simply the best we've ever had. Two of us had the celeriac, and one the beef - all were perfect. And don't even start me on the roast potatoes, which were quite simply the crispiest I've ever had, which is not easy to achieve in volume. I'd drive from Cornwall back here just for lunch! Only thing I would change would be to bin the music - I don't think it's needed in an old country pub for Sunday lunch - the hubbub of the room would be enough. Otherwise, it was perfect - thank you.

   Such a delightful pub! Food was great, staff were very warm and welcoming, and the place has character, warmth, and elegance all in equal measure. Totally charming. We loved our dinner there and will be sure to return.

   The Swan at Southrop is an absolute delight. Great location, fabulous interiors with a glowing fire in the main dining room. The food is a real treat. The steak frites and half chicken mains are reminiscent of sitting in a Parisian bistro. The sticky toffee pudding is prize winning. Great wine selection. But its really about the staff as well -so well informed, professional and seamless service. A real treat!

   Our third New Years Eve celebration at The Swan. A great atmosphere, we were seated quickly on arrival - a lovely table, with plenty of space for the four legged member of our party. The food was amazing, we opted for the rib of beef - perfectly cooked and with generous sides. A real NYE treat. We all opted for the Galette de rois for dessert and my husband had the winning toy in his, so we were gifted a bottle of wine. I loved the little ceramic dog, used as the ‘winning toy’ and the front of house manager (sorry can’t remember his name) very kindly allowed me to keep it. It now sits of my desk to keep me company whilst working from home, a lovely gesture - very much appreciated. Would highly recommend. Same time next year!

   The quality of the food was very good as was the service. It was very busy which was to be expected this however did result in a noisy experience.

   Very disappointing . Super location, part of the Thyme group, but terrible food! Crab pave burnt then reheated, chips re-heated?? (Crispy skin-on fries were worse than a down market take away) & burgers on toasted brioche - completely blackened!! Did chef have night off??

   Beautiful setting. Very attentive service. Food was good but considering the price I was expecting far better. Portions are on the small side and dishes come with no sides. For £28 in a pub (even if claiming to be a gastro pub) I would expect at least one side to be served and portions to be more generous.
