   We came expecting good quality food based on photos and reviews. We ordered the chicken watermelon appetizer as well as brussels sprouts those were OK. My wife ordered steak and shrimp with mashed potatoes. The shrimp were cooked days earlier and had absolutely no seasoning. The asparagus also had no seasoning I ordered pork belly with rice. The pork belly was cooked several days earlier and reheated, and had a stale taste.

   We usually love dining at the sycamore. The waitress advises that due to a special event they were slow which I respected and we were no in a time rush. Drinks were brought but it was 10-15 mins to get another. Not even a waitress around to assist. Not even water. The appetizers took 26 mins for the first to come out and the second 6 minutes later. Those two dishes were excellent. Lunch course. Two with Fish and Chips. Everything looked great and tasted great. A little more fish would have been nice but no big deal. The cod blt was very good size but was not cut in half for easy management. Which was frustrating if tartar was on it it was seriously lacking any bit. Would have benefited from something to cut the bland. But the real ringer the brisket sandwich. Flavor was great but it was absolutely to most in edible toughest cut of mean I have ever seen by the feel and sight of it alone it would have never left my kitchen to be served. It was eaten because my step father grew up that you ate it and never wasted incase the next meal was far off or wasn’t coming. Not exactly the birthday and Mother’s Day lunch I had hoped for and I’m now a bit embarrassed by one of my had been favorite places.

   One of the best restaurants in Martinsburg. Unique southern theme menu. Crab cake is real Maryland style.

   Filet of Beef was perfection, one of the best I have ever had. The trout was great. Caesar salad lacked sufficient dressing. I had a glass of the Cabernet and a glass of the Merlot. Order the Merlot. We had the peach cheesecake. It was very delicious. Overall , I look forward to going back.

   Our server, Avery, was very attentive and engaging. Our food was excellent. We were celebrating a birthday, and the dessert arrived with a lit candle and the server and other guests sang "Happy Birthday." We WILL return! Thank you!

   First time at Sycamore for Valentine’s Day. Food was excellent service as well. Will definitely be going back to enjoy the full menu .

    Food was adequate at best. Waited quite a while for our food, but no one bothered to come back to see if we needed more drinks or anything before bringing our food. Pretty sad the dress code is supposedly business casual; we were dressed nicely only to be seated by a family wearing sweatsuits.
