   Just returned from taking a special friend for her birthday dinner - what a great experience!! The waitress was friendly, attentive and went out of her way to make the birthday girl (who turned 91 today!) feel special! The wine and food were fantastic, and we were seated in a quiet corner of the beautifully decorated dining room near a lovely fireplace which warmed both body and spirit on a cold rainy night!! This is much more than just a fishing lodge, and we could not have asked for a more wonderful evening!!

   We got married at Tailwater three years ago and decided to go back for an overnight trip. The bar and restaurant were amazing, and our food and drinks were also amazing.

   This was our 3rd visit in the past two months, simply outstanding overall. It is well worth the drive from wherever you live and one of the best assets is that is open year round everyday.

   Tailwater is such a special place to my husband and I. While it’s seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it is a true gem. We got married at Tailwater in 2021, and come back for dinner from time to time, this time on our anniversary. No matter the occasion or event, we always feel like a priority, the atmosphere is elegantly rustic, the food is always scrumptious and the service is always excellent.

   It was ok. I was a little underwhelmed by the food as the lodge is very nice and expensive. My husband got a burger and son got a chicken sandwich. They looked good. I got the chopped salad. It was a little soggy and there was more salad on my husbands side salad order than mine. It had the smallest amount of chicken but the chicken was cooked good. My daughter got kids Mac and cheese and garlic toast…except it was just toast without even butter and the Mac and cheese was cheap box stuff. We got apple crisp for dessert and that was extremely good. All in all it was an ok experience but for $115 I’ve had much better food.

   Excellent menu selection. Appetizer (bourbon bacon deviled eggs), and dinners - the salmon and chicken pasta dishes were delicious! FANTASTIC service by Nicole. Will recommend and return!!
