The Terrace is Chef John Fraser's American brasserie located in The Times Square EDITION. From theatergoers and power meetings to dinner parties and big brunches, our all-seasons garden restaurant offers an unexpected oasis for locals and tourists alike, nestled just steps away from New York City's most iconic intersection. The seasonal menu marries the innovation of contemporary cooking with a respect for American culinary traditions, all while emphasizing locally sourced ingredients from regional farmers and purveyors. Brasserie classics share space with a wide variety of vegetable-forward offerings, a signature cooking style of Chef Fraser's.

We are located on the 9th floor of The Times Square EDITION, entrance on the north side of 47th Street just east of 7th Avenue.

While pleasant, the waitress seemed very distracted and had to be reminded of same requests more than once and refilling of water never occurred until requested.

Food was good and the ambience lovely. Only constructive feedback: $10 water, $9 for tea or drip coffee, and $15 for non-alcoholic mocktails seemed a bit excessive to us for what they are. Bringing those costs in line would eliminate a potential detraction from an otherwise enjoyable experience. 😊

The ambiance was to die for. Best part of the entire experience. The artwork on the walls when you step off of the elevator was so interesting and nostalgic I could have spent an hour examining each photograph that captured New York City through the years. Just gorgeous. The brightly lit sparsely decorated bar gave way to a breathtaking lush dining area. Absolutely beautiful, dimly lit and very romantic. This was the best part of the experience by far. The food was good. To be fair we only ordered a few items, tuna taretare, baked clams, fries with cheese fondue and the ricotta cavatelli. All were good except for the pasta- there was no ricotta and there was something very bitter mixed in. When we asked the waiter he said he had no idea what it was. The service was sub-par at best. It was very quiet - very few occupied tables. The waiter barely came back to check in. He spent most of the time chatting at the bar with other waitstaff. We had to waive him down to order another glass of wine on more than one occasion. That was frustrating. The service did not match what you would expect with a pricey restaurant. I would go back for cocktails and the atmosphere but not for dinner.

Had a lovely brunch with my nieces. The rooms were beautiful- like walking into a tropical oasis. We had a wonderful server who was patient with kids and everything we ate was delicious. I’m planning to go back soon for dinner with my husband!
