Liam and the team behind The Boat are proud to bring to you a modern neighbourhood pub in the beautiful village of Barton-Under-Needwood.

Soak up sun in the garden with a cocktail, or in the winter find a seat inside next to the log burner. Our focus is on modern pub classics with a twist.

Offering breakfast at weekends and a classic Sunday Lunch. We also have space for hire, for private parties, birthdays, meetings or even to kick back for a sporting event.

Inspired by Betty and Peggy our 4 legged residents at our sister restaurant The Boat, where we’ve cultivated our land for crops and created a sustainable eco-system with a focus on reducing waste.

    Join us at The Two Pigs for a specially curated 3 course menu for a Scottish celebration. Starter- "Cullen skink" smoked haddock and soft boiled egg Main- Cotswold chicken, Haggis croquette, neeps and tatties and whiskey butter sauce Dessert- Sticky toffee pudding and whiskey cream Subject to change. We are only able to cater for a gluten free diet with this menu.

    Another great Sunday lunch , did sit downstairs ( which we much prefer as so noisy upstairs ) and was draughty with the front door being opened , didn’t stay for extra drinks as too cold .

    Very tasty brunch - excellent bacon , sausages etc plus eggs Benedict and really decent drinks - cappuccino especially good ! Minor discrepancies in the order for our table of 5 , but overall an excellent experience !!

    Had a lovely meal at The Two Pigs. The food was all very nice and good portion sizes. The service was very attentive and we weren’t left waiting in between courses. We would go again.

    We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Two Pigs this week (table of four). Menu was brief, which we like. The food was extremely well cooked and looked great on the plate. Taste was delicious. We thought that the price was fair and reflective of the quality. Ladies serving were pleasant and polite and came across as professional and well trained. The ambiance is 'different' and the interior decor is not overdone and still reflects some of the charm of the old pub. Toilets were clean and well serviced.

    A lovely first visit to the Two Pigs. We arrived and had our dog with us, who for whatever reason disliked the table we were supposed to be seated at. The wonderful team immediately helped and seated us in a cute little nook by the fire, it was not an issue at all. The atmosphere was busy, however not too noisy and felt very relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious, the best Sunday lunch we have had out for a while. We will definitely bring visiting again. Thank you to the whole team.

    Food was amazing, staff were attentive but not annoyingly so, food was quick to be served and was cooked perfectly. Reasonable price for high end and good quality food. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, and we stayed for a few hours of drinking in the bar afterwards too. Would highly recommend.
