At the Schoolhouse Restaurant, our flagship dining space, we take all bookings. If you prefer a more relaxed vibe, our stunning courtyard connects all areas and offers the perfect casual setting. While we don’t take bookings for the courtyard, you’re welcome to request it in your booking notes, and if the weather cooperates, we’ll be happy to seat you outside!

For group dining, The UB offers several private spaces, ideal for gatherings of 8 to 40 people. Whether you're hosting a business meeting or celebrating a special occasion, we have the perfect setting for you.

The iconic and heritage listed Union Bank building is spoilt for private event and dining spaces. Whether you're after an intimate private dining room, or the whole Schoolhouse restaurant, we have plenty of options. Spaces include: The Lobby is a small and intimate private dining room for up to 8 guests. The Bank Room is a large private dining room for up to 18 guests. We had the tasting menu. The presentstion was good but every savory dish was too heavily salted. The side salad was smothered in a strangely sweet dressing.The meat was too chewy. The best thing was the bread and the jalapeno appetiser. While the meal was a bit disappointing we will still return because it is a lovely venue, service is good and we will select the things from the menu that we know and like.

The watress did not explain the food when it served ie what is in it and did not tell us how you eat it as it was new to us. The salad was estremely salty. The water tap in the bathroom was dirty black. Not coming back there until they improve the service and food.

Went for my mum’s 65th birthday and couldn’t fault the whole experience. Food was delicious, we ordered the perfect amount of share plates for our group. Great variety of food, everyone in the party tried something they hadn’t tried before as well as the old favourites! Reasonably priced for a restaurant of that quality.

Lovely lunch, with delicious local food. Service was outstanding. Love how the Chef delivered the main meals and explained each dish. Waitress friendly and very helpful. Great value for money

Excellent food with an outstanding wine list. Croquettes and tuna crudo were fabulous. Pork neck was superb…sous vide and then smoked on grill…possibly the best pork neck we’ve ever had! A beautiful room and staff led by a couple who know excellent food. Orange is fortunate to have a restaurant like this. Outstanding!!
