   Do not eat here. My meal was good (coq au vin), but my husband's was abysmal. He had one of the steaks and that was all that he was served. A piece of meat on a plate. He said that it was 'chewy'. Apparently if you want anything to go with your steak, you have to order it, which was not explained to us. So he ordered a side of green beans and he got a heaping plate of green beans, really enough for a table of people. The salad I ordered was swimming in a vinegar-y dressing. We had to ask for bread and were given two small dinner rolls, but the butter that accompanying them was frozen so hard that it was difficult to cut into. The dessert (pot de creme) was good though. The wine prices were a joke. It was half price Tuesday, so we got an $84 cab for only $42, but it wasn't any better than Two Buck Chuck. And since it was our anniversary, we were served a champagne glass each with a mouthful of bubbly. Will not go there again.

   Sometimes you like a place because they do one thing well… The Walrus Room delivers on staff, appetizers,drinks, main course, and the dang double desserts!! It was excellent!

   Wanted to try a new place for my husband’s birthday. Very friendly host greeted us at door and the desserts were good, we had the cookie sandwich and chocolate pot de crème. Where we sat the shelf behind us had visible dust and the floor was not cleaned. They open at 5:00 p.m. and our reservation was at 5:00 p.m. so it wasn’t like they had been open for hours. We had the NY strip and it was poor quality cut for $62, asparagus was over salted and potatoes were runny. It’s a cute place that needs a deep clean. We tried it, but won’t go back. Way too many better options in downtown Geneva.

   Server was not informed, did not know the menu. Did not know what brands of Tequila were available....had to check. Bread was requested, not offered, bread was 2 little Pepperidge Farm square rolls. Walleye was raw in the center and the Barre Blanc sauce was oily. Also, had an overkill on the pepper. Desert menu had spots all over it. Difficult place to find, as it is set back significantly from the street. There is no compelling reason to return.

   Wonderful place off the main street, was very surprising. Great service, the food was cooked perfectly, everything could not have been better.

   The Walrus Room is a hidden gem - the exterior looks unassuming, inside it’s just lovely and has one of the best wine lists in the St. Charles/Geneva area! Half price bottles on Tuesdays!

   OVERALL THE FOOD, WINE AND SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. THE CAESER SALAD NEEDED MORE ANCHOVIES IN THE DRESSING. THE MUSIC SELECTION WAS NOT TO OUR LIKING. OUR APPETIZER, SOUP, ENTRE AND DESERT WERE VERY DELICIOUS. WE WILL RETURN AND RECOMMEND THE WALRUS ROOM TO OTHERS.

   I really enjoy this place. Super cute and very good food. I appreciate that they always cook my food to order even if it’s not the popular way! I like my meat well done and they do it perfectly without it being burnt. Always good service it is just a good enjoyable dinner each and every time.

    Very solid meal with a cool vibe. Had the sea bass, really well cooked. I love that they had prime steaks which is not the norm in the suburbs. I can’t wait to come back and get a ribeye.
