   We were really excited to visit The Wednesday Room to celebrate a birthday, especially given our past experiences with great food and service. Unfortunately, this time was a different story. We arrived and waited at the door for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Eventually, we were sat at a random table and left to wait for dinner—no explanation, no communication. Almost an hour after our reservation time, we were finally taken down to the dining area. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed, but since we’re all in the industry, we tried to be understanding. One guest ordered the Beef and Broccoli with sushi rice, but when the dish arrived, there was no sushi rice. Another guest ordered the Ribeye with the toppings on the side, which were also missing. When we asked the server, she seemed flustered and told us we could read the menu ourselves because the items weren’t actually supposed to come with the dishes (even though they clearly were). We asked to speak to a supervisor, and when she arrived 15 minutes later, she was less than helpful. Instead of addressing the issue, she backed up the server, claiming she needed to support her staff, even though our dishes were incomplete. By the end of the night, they comped a round of drinks and gave us a discount on the bill, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing. It didn’t need to escalate this way, and we left feeling unsatisfied. Other notable disappointments: * We sat for 45 minutes with no one filling our water glasses. * We were never asked if we wanted a second drink, leaving our glasses empty all night. Overall, the food was pretty good once everything arrived, ambiance was great, and the company was great. Might try again for a different service experience.

   Food was incredible!! However the tight seating and slow service was disappointing. We were told we had to be out at 7pm from our 5pm reso and that made us feel like we needed to hurry. But again the food was delicious. Maybe take out next time ;)

   Update: I am so impressed by the chef & managers response to my review and the way they’ve handled the situation. I received a lovely and sincere phone call apologizing and offering a re-do of our dinner and experience. I did not expect such a gesture and regardless of our recent experience, we always love the Wednesday room and this shows us exactly why. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Derek & Danielle. We are disappointed with our recent visit to The Wednesday Room. We have a tradition to spend every valentines there as a special treat, as it’s hard to get out as parents of two young kids. I made our reservation 2 weeks in advance, and when we arrived we were seated at the worst table at the bottom of the stairs. We had an early reservation for 6, and saw other tables empty while we sat at our table. The chairs they had us in were meant for a living room and so uncomfortable and annoying to try and eat the table with, and it was absolutely FREEZING. They had a space heater that hardly worked and couldn’t be felt. Our food arrived and immediately went cold before we could finish or enjoy it. We asked to be moved and our request was disregarded. For a $200+ bill I could have had a way better experience somewhere instead of needing to sit uncomfortably in my winter jacket on the one night my husband and I get to go out. That table shouldn’t even be an option to sit in. The server was lovely and could tell we were upset but couldn’t do anything. I’m so disappointed.

   We couldn't have loved our date night more! A cozy, warm, unique and enjoyable ambiance. Our food was delish, service attentive but not overbearing. Great drinks and honestly a new fave destination in the city. Recommend!

   Always happy to eat at The Wednesday Room! Gluten-friendly and vegetarian options galore, and delicious drinks. The real winner of the meal were the crispy Brussel sprouts and charred broccoli.
