Live Jazz at the Whitby Bar is returning every Friday night from 6pm to 9pm. Enjoy classic Negroni cocktails as you listen to live jazz music from The Sam Taylor Trio.

For our Afternoon Tea service, please book via Open Table through the EXPERIENCE option. To confirm your afternoon tea reservation, we require a credit card for our cancellation policy. Should you cancel within 24 hours of the booking, a $50/pp cancellation fee will incur.

Join us at The Whitby Bar for a delicious Afternoon Tea served in the colorful restaurant or the elegant Orangery. Served on Kit Kemp's beautiful Sailor's Farewell Wedgwood china, enjoy delectable finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon mousse, Egg salad remoulade, selection of mouthwatering cakes and homemade scones with clotted cream and preserves. $75 per person or $95 including a glass of Joseph Perrier. Afternoon Tea service reservations are booked through the experience. We ask you to cancel your reservation by 10pm the day prior. We have a 5 minute grace period in case you are running late. Please call 646-928-4207 If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Special requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.

Afternoon tea at The Whitby was wonderful. Highly recommend for a special celebration. Decor was beautiful in the room - very English- and with an elegant table setting for tea.

Waiter, although very nice, should listen better. My wife ordered HARD boiled eggs not soft and I asked for NO mushrooms on the plate and mushrooms came out anyhow. In any case, we survived! Nice mid-town spot.

With vibrant art, elegant linens and custom tableware and china, the Whitby's unique culinary offerings were all delicious with seasonal and fresh ingredients. Service was impeccable and attentive. The food remarkable.

I thought I had booked afternoon tea but unfortunately didn’t but decided to stay anyway and we loved it. We ordered from the breakfast menu and had dessert and tea. The service was great. They left us alone stayed there more than 1.5 hours for 4 people.

Highly recommend the lovely afternoon tea experience. Scones were warm, fresh and fabulous. Nice finger sandwiches and ok petit fours, but the ambience is the star and just perfect. Like an oasis in the bustle of the city.

Generally was positive dining experience except for the woman and man working the hostess desk who were super rude and told me no availability… but I was able to make a reservation in 15 minutes on my phone lol.
