CateringThe White Hart has a long history of welcoming guests and wetting whistles, and there are records of a pub in the village dating back to 1741, but that was only when the records began! The establishment has been under new management since January 2015 and offers more substantial fare to satisfy all appetites. “We’re extremely proud and grateful to have received numerous awards and nominations for our food from The Oxford Times, Bitten Oxford, OxinaBox and Wadworth Brewery,” says Baz, the current landlord. Food is always prepared on site and cooked from scratch on a daily basis, with the kitchen team – lead by head chef Andrew Carr – using local suppliers wherever possible. You can often find Wytham Woods venison on the menu and there is also a full vegan and vegetarian menu that has garnered its own awards. The White Hart can cater for all types of events too, whether it’s a wedding reception, afternoon tea or birthday party, with exclusive hire or group reservations.
