Three “mature female” friends had dinner together on a Sunday evening. The service was welcoming as soon as we walked inside. We chose the same entree, filet minion with mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts, which turned out to be delicious. The Wine House continues to never disappoint.

My friend and I had a great brunch experience -- and stayed for the "The Lion King" wine tasting. Thanks for the sommelier for the creative lyrics/singing, and to our waitress, Lisa. We had so much FUN!

Ambiance fabulous. Quaint cosy restaurant for lunch. Not very busy on a weekday as there were only 5 tables booked when we arrived. The servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. The wine list excellent and the wines a great value. A bottle of wine averaged $40. The menu had lots of options for various diets. The préfixe lunch an incredible value at $25 for a main with either an appetizer or a dessert. Only disappointment was that 3 of us ordered the steak frites and none of us had our steak cooked as ordered. 2 of us asked for medium rare- one steak was medium well and the second steak was well done. The 3rd person asked for medium and that steak was also well done. A pity as it was not busy at all so no excuse for the chef not to get the steaks cooked as ordered. The fourth person in our party ordered the smoked salmon appetizer and the crab cake and was pleased. The crème brûlée and the bread pudding for dessert were delicious. Overall a good experience .

The Wine House is a really good place for date night, out with good friends, or pretty much any occasion. The food is good quality and well prepared, and there are enough choices everyone can find something they like. My favorite is Steak Frites as a main course. The Wine list, as you would expect, is good and servers are happy to offer good advice about the choices. Don't know if they have a time limit for tables, but on a Thursday night 6 pm reservations, with most tables full, we were not rushed out, as is sometimes the case in US.

In our experience the quality of the food has declined. It used to be a meal that we would rave about.

Thank you for your feedback, and I want to apologize for your recent experience with us. It’s disappointing to hear that the quality of our food no longer meets your expectations, especially since it was something you previously enjoyed and raved about. Regarding your private note, I understand your frustration, but I’d like to clarify that we did not receive an email from you. It’s possible there was a miscommunication or technical issue, and I regret that this prevented us from addressing your concerns sooner. Your feedback is valuable and will be taken into consideration.
