The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We hope we do it well.

Great tasting food and very well presented. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids. The adults menu had a great selection for non vegetarian, vegetarian and vegan, kids menu also had a great selection. Service was excellent and the location is really good being at the Northside of the ha'penny bridge so easily accessible from both sides.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing! We tried the chicken schnitzel and burger, both of which were cooked to perfection. 10 out of 10. Never been there before but they were reapply helpful and accommodating, everyone enjoyed their food and one of us had dietary requirements and they did as much as possible to try to fulfil her special needs. They didn't rush us either which was great, maybe cos it wasn't that busy but it was nice to be able to relax. The outdoor area was nice and cosy. The waiter outdoors was super nice, always with a smile which makes such a difference. Thanks very much for a lovely experience!
