The Jockey Tavern impresses with "delicious food" and a "fantastic ambiance." Guests rave about the elegant renovations and cozy atmosphere. Standout dishes include the Miso Salmon and Chicken Marsala. The renovations to the bar were worth the wait- The space is very warm and inviting! They had a wonderful piano player that complimented the ambiance as well. We were pleased with the unique choices on the menu, and very satisfied with our meals. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive, and when my husband mentioned it was my birthday, she offered us a free dessert! As if that wasn’t surprise enough, I got a card signed by everyone on the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and definitely plan on returning soon!

Being a newer restaurant and during the busy holiday season- we’re going to give it another chance in the future. Our server completely forgot about our table of 5. We were seated promptly at reservation time, however failed to be greeted by our server for quite a bit. We ordered drinks and apps when she did come over, which were brought out in a reasonable time by bussers. We sat at the table with the large menus in our laps for 45 mins before having to get up and ask for service. When she came to us, offered no apologies and took our orders. The dinners came out 20 mins later and were decent. Our appetizer plates were never cleared from our table. We had to ask for the check and flag her down for payment. It was a very disappointing experience.

Nicely redesigned in Hunt Country style with a beautifully redesigned bar area though this restaurant gets anything but a horsey crowd. Thematically it mixes metaphors of fox hunting and horse racing. On a Saturday night waiting time without reservations was an hour. Creative varied menu but unclear the kitchen is up to the challenge. Food was so so. The chicken and mushrooms in my chicken marsala-with-risotto-and -greens was drowned in oily fat and salt. Not much chicken given as well. My friend enjoyed his simpler cooked to order filet much more. His ice cream sundae looked like typical chain restaurant fare but he thoroughly enjoyed it. My can of NA beer was $6.50. Menu prices were comparable to popular restaurants below the fine dining level. I liked the old McKenzie’s and would return to the Jockey but probably for lunch or happy hour and choose a simpler dish. Shoutout to our very accommodating and hard-working server, and also to the redesigned bar area, which is very attractive with nicely done ambient lighting and still ample big screens to watch the games. It’s early, we will see if this redeveloped restaurant matures into its honorable ambition.

beautiful job on the renovation! So much warmer and inviting. Not sure the food runner spoke English… she brought the food out and just stood there. we had to look at the dishes to find out who had what salad. she was nice but they need to teach tell them what dish is what and then give it to that person

We were dining with 3 vegetarians and there were no hot food entrees available which was very disappointing. Service and the happy hour were good but would not return due to the lack of vegetarian options.

Had a reservation Christmas Eve at 7:30. Server greeted us with I need your drink orders bar is closing at 8 pm. She missed my husbands 2 drink order. Then rush and shoved everything together. She proceeded to tell us at tip time Sorry for making you feel rushed but I want to get to my family too. Now I understand that, but maybe not working would have been better? We have two daughters working Christmas Eve too. They didn’t get home until late. Food was good but service ruined our experience!

It took a while for our foods to come out when it wasn’t crazy busy. However, the servers were really nice! They offered a round of drinks on the house to make up for the delay in our foods coming out. In addition, since we were out for my birthday, a dessert was also on the house as they considered it a birthday dessert. Already planning on coming back in the future to try more of their food!
