Crab cakes with tater tots were delicious. Miso salmon bowl also very tasty. Food could have been served hotter. Happy hour prices until 6:00 pm on weekends is great! Trophy room has a quiet and refined atmosphere. Service was prompt and attentive. We will return.

What a great changeover from the previous McKenzie Brewhouse. Beautiful updates to the interior, great ambiance, beautiful bar with seating all the way around. Menu was very diverse so plenty of options for what your palate desires and food was very flavorful. Excellent service all the way around. Great spot for solo dining, small or big groups. Highly recommend.

The food was extremely greasy and both my husband and I were sick all night after our dinner at The Jockey Tavern.

First time there and we were excited to try it. We loved the decor and ambiance. Our server, Emma was attentive and friendly. The hostess was very polite. They both wished us happy anniversary since I put it on reservation. We loved our appetizer, dinner, drinks and dessert.

Very nice menu with many different items not normally found in restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the brussels sprouts were not cooked enough. Also two people at the table ordered the short ribs, one got a large piece and the other got a very small piece. The people that ordered the short ribs, both were men. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the area in quite some time.

Thanks for visiting us, John! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our diverse menu and found it to be one of the best dining experiences you've had in the area. We apologize for the shortfall with the Brussels sprouts and the discrepancy in the portion sizes. We appreciate your feedback and will certainly take it into account for future improvements. We look forward to serving you again soon! Best, The Jockey Tavern Management Team

This was our first visit to the Jockey Tavern. We’ve been long time patrons of McKenzie’s, the previous restaurant at this location. The smoked brisket nachos appetizer was excellent. There’s enough for four and since there were three of us we probably overate before our entrees arrived. I was disappointed with the chicken marsala risotto which is marked on the menu as a specialty. It was a decent piece of chicken marsala with a small portion of risotto. When I order risotto I expect to get a full plate or bowl of risotto. The risotto was a couple scoops, basically like a side to the chicken. The risotto itself was pretty heavy on the cheese and butter. The prosciutto was unremarkable. My wife enjoyed her Santorini chopped club salad and said it was very fresh and crunchy. Our son said that his blackened chicken sandwich was spicy but in a good way. We shared the carrot cake for dessert and it was good. A few additional observations from our first visit: 1. Good value for the food given the portions. 2. I was disappointed that there weren’t more draft beers. A broader selection of domestic craft beers would be welcome (for comparison see Black Powder Tavern’s draft list). 4. I’d have liked to order a glass of wine with my risotto but I’m not paying $15 for a glass. If the wine prices were slightly more expensive than the draft beer prices I would have ordered wine. 5. The service was a bit chaotic. Our server forgot to bring the sugar my wife requested for her iced tea. The size of table water pitcher was very small. We kept asking for refills. Several employees helped with the refills and food delivery. A larger size water for the table, and larger water glasses, should be considered. The Jockey Tavern is very different from McKenzie’s. The owners are aiming for a more upscale dining experience which will appeal to some patrons.

Thank you so much for visiting The Jockey Tavern and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your support, especially as long-time patrons of McKenzie’s, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to welcome you to our new concept. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the brisket nachos, salad, chicken sandwich, and carrot cake. That said, I’m sorry the risotto didn’t quite meet your expectations. We’ll certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to refine our dishes, portions, and presentation. Your observations about the beverage program and service are also helpful. Thank you again for joining us. We’d love to welcome you back soon and show you how we’re listening and growing! Best, The Jockey Tavern Management Team
