You’ve never seen anything like this extravagantly decorated tiki-bar funhouse from Tatsu
Aikawa and the team behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Kemuri Tatsu-Ya and dipdipdip Tatsu-Ya.

Recently named one of the 40 best bars in Austin by Statesman critic Matthew Odam, Tiki
Tatsu-Ya is disguised by a fake travel company on the outside, but stepping in, you’re
immediately transported to another world. The riotous colors, sound effects and over-the-top
tropical cocktails in custom mugs and glasses feel like an island vacation or 21+ Disneyland.
Shareable drinks come with fire shows, and even the food far surpasses typical bar fare with
mouthwatering dishes like Spam Musubi, Crab Lagoon, Kalua Pork and the Pu Pu Platter, which
shouldn’t be missed. Reservations are recommended.

    From the time we walked in we loved the vibe of Tiki, our server explained the menu to us and answered all of our questions. Then the experience began. The drinks were awesome and the poopoo platter was amazing. We'll definitely be back soon.

    Our once a year visit at Christmas time when we are in from CA. Regular drinks and special holiday offerings were all very good. After making a reservation a month out we got the worst table in the place, a two seater next to the door. Kind of ruined our night.

    The food was unusual yet great (especially the Spam Musubi), the drinks were incredible (especially the buttery Pain Killer seasonal), and the service was attentive and courteous. A++, will be back yet again!

    This is my second visit and I love this place! The drinks are excellent and so is the food. Friendly bartenders and waitstaff and overall an incredible experience. I wish I lived in Austin, I’d be here every week!!!

    A great Polynesian vibe awesome drinks and great service. Get a reservation but well worth it. It’s a really fun place for a small group.

    Really cool experience! Quartet of educators wanting a little respite from the week. None of us had visited before and the experience was awesome. Really cool atmosphere, knowledgeable server, and delicious drinks! Our server Gina knew the menu well and all of the drinks she suggested were delicious. Extra special treat: when I made the reservation I said we were celebrating being dedicated educators. They brought us their lovely dessert, Butter Mochi, on the house. Thanks for a lovely time, we will be back!

    I don’t drink. I was skeptical about doing here but had always wanted to come. I am an experienced foodie. I was very excited to bring my best friend for her birthday. What a disappointment!!!! When we told her we didn’t drink she totally dismissed us. Hardly even gave us a moments notice. I have eaten in many of the finest restaurants all over the world as a sober person and I am not sure I have ever been treated as rudely. Not a place for a non-drinker. Too bad.
