Launched in Hong Kong in 2009, Tim Ho Wan now operates throughout the region, and has expanded into 9 different countries, now including New York City and Hawaii in the USA, and Tokyo, Japan. Co-founding dim sum masters, Mak Kwai Pui and Leung Fai Keung, who met as head chefs in Hong Kong, left their respective positions to open the first Tim Ho Wan location in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district, earning one Michelin star within a year of operation and receiving the title of “world’s most inexpensive awarded restaurant”.

This is Michelin one star restaurant chain in Hong Kong. The food is delicious as expected and focus on few popular Hong Kong style dim sum foods and deserts. The restaurant is spacious and modern design. It is not crowded when we were there around 5:15pm Monday afternoon. There are good numbers of servers but they forgot to give me tea I ordered and missing the chicken feet dish I ordered. I’ve to call the worker and waiter three time and waited 20 minutes for the missing dish. However they still forgot to give me my tea. I’m really disappointed in their service.

Our friends who live in Palms Place decided to join us. The staff was very accommodating and did not rush us. We appreciate all the great food and hospitality. We will come back! (we stayed in Palms Casino)

Great location, food, and service. I had Tim Ho Wan for the first time when I was in NY, and I was very happy once I found out there was one in Vegas now.

Granted we had a rather large party (13), but we were not seated until almost one hour after our reservation time. We did not find a large variety of dim sum offered, just the more popular choices. Not very authentic dishes either - some have a unique twist (like the sesame ball with egg yolk). The decor was nice and the servingware was fancy.

Wow where do I start? The service was horrible we never got refills and our server said zero words to us. It was a younger gentleman and we got main dishes before appetizers and to top it off when we were done eating, we recieved two late dishes and they charged us for a dish we never recieved. All I can say is I will never eat here again
