We are Tipsy Taco Bar, a traditional Mexican restaurant born in Mount Kisco, NY. Our recipes are authentic and represent many different regions. All dishes are made from scratch. Bringing a FRESH take on authentic Mexican Food, We pride ourselves on bringing organic meats and a 90% gluten free menu to our customers. Locally sourced produce when possible plus fresh squeezed juice flows from behind the bar for fresh hand-made cocktails. Our second location is now in Scarsdale, Westchester and we hope you enjoy it

It has a great body, the characteristics of this mezcal are sui generis, the tones are very aromatic, complex wood scents, aromas and tastes of vanilla, coffee, caramel, floral ...; Its taste is round, nice wood notes, dried fruits (figs, prunes), slightly smoky.Basically consist in the cutting of the maguey (capons), cooking in a stone and wood oven and grinding in a stone mill moved by horse, natural fermentation in wooden tubs, simple distillation (double distillation), aged in new barrels.

Vago Elote from Hijos de Aquilino Garcia carries on the tradition of maestro mezcalero Aquilino Garcia Lopez. His sons, Temo and Mateo, have spent their lives working alongside Aquilino, learning the methods and knowledge that has been passed down through generations. Like the Elote from Aquilino, before he passed away, this has a nose full of smoky toasted corn and dry river stones. The body is sweet with wood tones and layers of honeycomb, green tropical fruit, and smoke. This is a triple distilled Mezcal. Between the second and third distillations, the maestro adds roasted corn from the farm. The roasted corn taste shines through to the finish. This Mezcal still has hints of the Vago Espadin’s tough exterior, but its softer finish rounds the edges of the Espadin.

It’s ok as a sipping mezcal, but it’s really made to be used in mixed drinks. Interestingly, this mezcal’s black bottle is inspired by “Barro Negro” pottery. It’s made in 100% black glass with a matte finish to maintain the look and feel of the traditional pottery style from the original “black clay” of the Monte Alban period.

Savoie, France | The grapes were destemmed and each variety was vinified separately. Gentle pressing occurred with a pneumatic press; only the free-run juice is used for our Rosé. The fermentation occurred at 17°C in temperature-controlled stainless steel for 3 weeks. The wine was aged on its lees with regular stirring for 40 days in new coated cement vats. During the ageing process we look at maintaining a maximum fruit expression and concentration thanks to regular pumping-over. DESCRIPTION Pale salmon color. Complex nose with cherry and strawberry notes evolving towards soft candied fruit. The palate is rich and smooth with ripe red fruits and a well-balanced acidity.

We’ve been to Tipsy Taco a few times and had good experiences before. However, tonight was not what we expected. The server got two of our drink orders completely wrong and the nachos had barely any toppings. I can’t stand it when nachos aren’t done right; there shouldn’t be more than half the chips without anything on them. Then, when we ordered our main courses, we even pointed to the menu to make sure there would be no mistakes. Yet when the entrées arrived, two of the orders were completely wrong again. We’ve never had an experience like this here before—usually, the food and service are great. Tonight was disappointing. I’d give them another chance, but if this happens again, we won’t be coming back.Is this helpful?

I’ve been to the tipsy taco bar several times and I love it. Though my review is good, I just want to say that I am very disappointed in the way that we are treated because I brought a cake for my sons new job celebration. Not only ever bring the cake. I bought paper plates and forks and cut the cake at the end. I was approached by the manager who told me that I would have been charged four dollars a cake fee, but they were discounting it to one dollar per person, the server knew that I brought cake in. The restaurant was completely empty and if it wasn’t for us, they would’ve hardly had any business last night. Once again the server knew that I had a cake and never once mentioned it was a cake cutting fee. When I asked the manager to remove the fee as a courtesy. He pointed up to the camera and said he couldn’t do so, because his boss was watching from that camera. That was completely inappropriate and somewhat threatening. The fee was eventually removed, however I don’t like to be put in that situation. I took a lot of people there last night that had never been there and would likely return and it was unfortunate that they had a witness such pettiness once again if it wasn’t for us there probably been four people there last night. The food was good, but our waitress was lacking both in her mood and service. We ordered appetizers, they came out, and had to wait almost an hour to order ouyr entrees because she didn't check back in. We had to repeat wanting refills for water. When we asked for our bill, she said okay and decided to leave for the night and we had to ask a bartender. The noise was so loud that we had to almost yell across the table at one another. Not coming back here. All hype, no good service.Is this helpful?

This was my first time coming to Tipsy Taco, the food and margaritas were delicious but we had some trouble with our server seemingly disappearing and forgetting to bring drinks, dessert etc. No one came to ask if we’d like the check, we had to flag down another server at the end of the evening. Delicious food, but our experience didn’t meet my expectations unfortunately.Is this helpful?

I walked into the place for a 12:30 lunch on a Wednesday. Two diners were just finishing off their meal. Which left me, myself and I in the entire place. I ordered a margarita and some chips and guac while waiting for my guest. Chips and guac arrived with water. No margarita! I reminded my server. TWICE!!! It has now taken half hour for my drink to arrive. My guest arrived and after 15 minutes of chatting, we hailed the server and ordered another margarita. Took another 20 min for it to arrive. We ordered our meals and was pleasantly surprised it came quick . The food was great! I would go back there again. However the service needs major attention!!! Can you imagine if there were other diners. Oh and I almost forgot that it was uncomfortably HOT inside the restaurant. We asked about the air conditioning. The place was empty during our the entire 3 hour dining experience there and it was HOT!!!!!Is this helpful?

Went on Mother’s Day. Restaurant was not fully packed but it took 1.5 hours for our tacos to be served. Kitchen clearly wasn’t prepared. Tacos and guacamole were bland and under-seasoned. Great vibe - just need to punch up the flavors and service.Is this helpful?
