   Took a friend for birthday brunch - we had the a la carte brunch which was delicious. I messaged that it was my friends birthday when I booked and they gave us delicious lemon pancakes as a birthday surprise! Service was amazing and attentive as well! Thank you.

   This was an excellent meal and dining experience. The service was excellent and food was outstanding. The service staff was so kind in allowing me to ask for a smaller portion of a dish so I could try it. A truly wonderful time and one I will be sure to repeat soon!

   I wasn't sure a hotel based restaurant would work out for this this foodie but it was a very good experience. We shared an antipasto plate which was good. Then my wife had a carbonara based daily special, and I had duck breast both of which were excellent. We prefer white tablecloths but the modern decor worked while not as warm. Good selection of Italian wines. Excellent service. We will go again on a special occasion - it is not inexpensive.

   The four star ratings are credited to the manager Ken. He’s such a sweet heart that we would go back just because of his dedicated services. The waiting time, the food varieties, food quality, and the actress were all disappointing in the beginning. But Ken, a very nice manager who originally came from Singapore offered a true 5 star hotel service! He listened to our feedbacks carefully! He took actions right away to make the customers happier! Ritz Carlton is lucky to have Ken working here! If it’s not him, the rating would be much lower!

   Food was exceptional and seafood quality was excellent. The service was top notch and the waitress changed cutleries after each plate which is not common during a buffet.

   I took my dad to Toca for its New Year Brunch on Jan 1. The service at Toca has always been excellent. Marco and Tony always provide the best service. That’s the only consistent excellence from Toca. Thank you Marco and Tony! Other staff at the restaurant also are very professional and provided good service despite how overwhelmed they were. The quality of the roast this year is better than last year and the flavor is better as well. It is however very disappointing to know that at the same price, king crab legs are available for Christmas brunches but not the New Year brunch. If one looks at similar higher end buffet menus, for example Niku X at the Intercontinental Hotel downtown LA, every item is clearly stated. However, Toca is not as transparent about their menu and it has led to disappointing experiences in the past.

   At $175.00 per person we found it too expensive for what was offered: smoked salmon slices that were dried out around the edges, lobster? tails or was it crayfish that were disintegrating as we tried to remove them from the shell and the meat was tasteless, the roast beef slice was tough and tasteless and the arctic char dried out. The shrimps were good and crunchy, the sausage so tough I had trouble cutting it with a knife. Dessert was good. We will NOT do a repeat next year.

    Great experience. Food was top-notch and service was attentive, but not overbearing. Great Italian twist on Christmas dinner— crispy potato with caviar, medium-rare tenderloin with foie gras, and well paired wines. Being a holiday themed dinner, I would’ve expected more of a holiday feel to the restaurant. That was lacking, including the guitarist in the corner, playing pop music rather than expected Christmas music. Lots of noisy kids too. Apparently the parents weren’t aware that other people were dining in the restaurant as well. I would definitely do this again.
