   It was really SUPER expensive. I was so very shocked and disappinted. $1000.00 for 4 people. I knew when I went to get a glass of Champagne that used to be $23.00, was now $44.00. The whole bottle at Spec’s is $75.00. The ceasar salad was $88. 00 for 4 people. The soufle was $85.00. We had two cocktails each. A bottle of wine for $165.00. We shared the foies gras, lamb, filet and duck. With Spinach, asparagus and mashed potatoe sides. Just so sad and crazy out of control!! Not sure who they are catering to in this competitive market. Not happy with the new chef. There are much better places to eat that are better prices for what you get. For example for Thanksgiving I got a complete meal to go at Etoile for 12 people for $290.00 Unfortunately, I will not be back.😢

   We had a lovely time, and the food was both inventive and delicious. The cotton candy foie gras was a real treat!

   Excellent food, service and ambiance. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable and elegant lunch with close friends. Curtis took care of our every request. Don’t know why we don’t dine here more often!

   This is such a happy festive place to celebrate the holidays with friends. We had everything from grilled salmon to chili. It was all delicious.

   The restaurant was full for lunch. Book a reservation on Open Table before going. Excellent service, and the food was delicious. The Capellini con Vitello (veal medallions) is another favorite.

   We recently went to Tony's to celebrate an anniversary. I still think that Tony's is one of the very best restaurants in Houston if you appreciate old school fine dining. We started with the foie gras accented with a sweet potato puree. I had never seen it done in this manner but it was delicious. My wife had the linguini with seafood that included shrimp, clams and lobster. The shrimp were the largest I have seen in this type of dish. Needless to say, the dish was excellent and more than she could finish. I had the Dover sole which was done perfectly in a buerre blanc sauce. We finished with a wondeful and rather large raspberry souffle. The service was a tad slow as there appeared to be only one main waiter on the floor. It didn't bother us as we enjoyed a fabulous Meursault recommended by the sommelier. The atmosphere was a bit loud but really only because we were the closest table to the piano player. Tony's is pricey but less so than some of the trendy restaurants in Houston. However, the portions are generous and I believe fairly priced. One can never go wrong with Tony's.

   We went to Tony’s to celebrate my mother’s 103rd bday. My dad, before he passed, gave her a birthday party for ~40 at Tony’s every year, so we were looking forward to sharing good memories. The understated Christmas decorations were a disappointment; the Butternut and sage pasta was nothing like it had been and was a disappointment; the service was very poor. However, we enjoyed the grilled artichoke and lobster bisque. We probably will not be returning any time soon. We paid way too much for a level 2 experience.

    Tony's is consistently the finest restaurant and dining experience in Houston--always first class from top to bottom! Not trendy, always great food and great service, I hope Donna keeps her fine restaurant going for many years to come!
