   Great food and atmosphere. We go to Oglebay once a year over Memorial day and look forward to the Saturday night dinner at Trace. My wifes dtesk was done tomprrfection and my seafood trio was delicious. We must remember to order only two side dishes the three we ordered was too much that we did not have room for desert. Our waiter was excellent and was very attentive tomour needs. Already looking forward to next Memorial day weekend and our dinner st Trace

   Very cold in the restaurant until the fire was turned on. The food and service were excellent. Only issue was the bald “gentleman” at the door- he was less-than-pleasant. When we arrived for our reservation, he held a finger up and snapped at us to “hold on”, then inside while plates were being delivered, he made us feel ashamed because we had “ordered a lot of plates” and he didn’t know if there would be room on the table. He was very loud about it and made it a big deal, other tables were looking at us. No need for that- it made the rest of evening uncomfortable, thinking that we had ordered too much food! Our server was terrific though. Kudos to her.

   Paul, thank you for your review and feedback. Apologies for your less than pleasant impression. It is often a challenge to maintain the desired experience when sat at a small table. His frustration may have presented in his service and for that I apologize. It was never his intention to make you feel "ashamed"; we want our guests to enjoy everything we have to offer!    My daughter and her friends ate at Trace for Prom. They were treated as if they were royalty and were in and out very efficiently knowing time was important to get them to the dance on time. The price is on the higher end, but the service and quality are represented well. As if Oglebay could get any better, this new addition is just another example of them being a premier resort that local residence can enjoy

   The Filet Mignon was excellent! Prepared just right. Keep in mind the sides servings are huge!! Definitely recommend Trace Chophouse.

   This is probably the best restaurant in the Ohio Valley now. Our food was excellent, and the décor and ambiance evokes a cozy speakeasy. We highly recommend it.

    Had a wonderful meal at Trace - steaks cooked perfectly & delish cocktails. Service was awesome - shoutout to Brandon for incredible service! Definitely will go back again.
