   As soon as we walked in the door, it was an amazing experience. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. The intimate, small atmosphere was quiet and cozy. For how busy it can get outside the chophouse door, you couldn’t hear any of it. Food was great and I had some flavors I don’t think I’ve ever even tasted before. The only thing that was a huge bummer was that after we hung out for a while finishing dessert, they forgot to bring out our leftovers after packing them up. We forgot about them too until we were almost home. I will absolutely go back, but I’ll have to make sure we get the leftovers especially how expensive it is.

   My husband and I celebrated our 26 Anniversary and the staff was so kind! The ambiance made our celebration even more special, felt like it was very private. And the food…. The food was amazing

   Our party of 5 dined on Wednesday, October. 29th. We ordered and shared a number of dishes which were mostly excellent! Included were orders of Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Fingerlings, Mashed Potatoes, and Sautéed Mushrooms. All were excellent. One person ordered the Mushroom Risotto, which was also excellent. Our only disappointment was the 42 oz. Ribeye, which was priced at $147. It is meant to be shared as we ordered it for 4 of our diners. It is portion cut at the table by the server. Unfortunately, it was overdone. That would be our only disappointment. The service was excellent as was the ambience. Our biggest complaint was the addition of a $15.39 "Service Charge" on a tab of $513.00. Really! This tactic, even though a relatively small charge, leaves a bad taste in the customers mouth. How irritated would we have been had our bill totaled $528.39? Stop the "nickel and diming"!

   Everything was great. Only thing I would have liked differently was some additional space between our two top and the one next to us. 10/10 would recommend checking out. It’s hard to find a scallop cooked to that deliciousness.

    Food was bland. Way too expensive. No kids allowed in this restaurant, which is a very poor decision. There are a lot of families who go to Oglebay. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated as we are working on improvements on every level. We have shared this with our culinary and management team to address. There has been some communication mistakes on our behalf that has given the perception that Trace does not allow children.
